We've done this for many years. Record enough to be able to skip commercials and a lot of the halftime jabber, then either watch the game after 30-45 minutes have gone by, or just watch the whole game later. My friends know not to call on game day for MBB and football, and I have usually avoided knowing the outcome before watching unless I want to. We also keep the good games for another viewing, and this morning we re-watched the Clemson game. We are still saving the UVA game, though we've watched it twice, and will watch it again just before we play them again.

I'm ok with waking my wife, it's the Hokies after all, but all hell rains on me if I wake the dog.

Heck, I mostly did that for my first 4 years of college. Was asked to take a semester off due to my overarching academic diligence and pursuits. Still graduated, but it took a while.

And I too, still have a recurring nightmare about missing a class, walking around campus trying to find it and stressing out that I'm not going to graduate with that never ending thought of, "man, I'm never going to get out of here".

Car at 260 coming up on a car doing 200 at the end of a straight sounds... terrifying.
