Don't need anything else.
Edited to clarify: I think either the fans in all orange or even in all maroon would look pretty cool at night. The white-out that the Penn State fans throw at us every time we play there can create some problems with our road uniform whites.
Agreed. He got dragged sometimes, but I don't recall him actually missing a tackle in a game.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. My concern, especially against OSU, is much more him playing his assignment and fitting his gap correctly than it is getting dragged a couple of yards. Missed assignments is how you get long TD runs.
It's a little bizarre how one play and a couple of articles from trusted sources creates perceptions about a player. It's not like Motuapuaka was getting juked out or trucked by every RB he played. He had/has his issues, but they're being misidentified ITT.
Yeah, this. Meyer even said as much at Big 10 media days. Thomas is big and athletic, but isn't really a speedster per se.
IIRC, Jalin Marshall and Dontre Wilson (when healthy) both ran quite a few vertical, post, and post-corner routes every game...
TRIAN PLS
I know it's for Military Appreciation but I kind of hope they would bust these out for the first game

'Twas hard - but needed to get back to the job that helped finance the trip!
Tyrod finding an NCAA loophole and gaining eligibility again.

FIFY
I really hope Dadi gets like 4 sacks and then points to Bosa after the 4th one......just to show Bosa who his Dadi is.
With Urban Meyer's offense, you really shouldn't focus in on any one player, as that's an easy way to get yourself beaten and fast. If the defense gets distracted by who's on the field, they lose discipline with their eyes and take false steps out of position. That's a good way to have 60+ yard TD runs. For that reason, I think it's a mistake to focus too much on Elliot and his potential success as well. Then you get caught with play action, triple option, and the read option. If you don't play assignment football Meyer's counters will kill you.
You might be doing it wrong

I hope the team comes out in all maroon everything. Let the fans wear orange for orange effect.
A uniform combo that pleases my eyeballs.
A win would be nice.
Main Street gets shut down, party rages all night long.
Class cancelled Tuesday.
Say what you will, but I kind of want to see a couch on fire.
Really hope we wear maroon, national showcase, big game, come out in your flagship uni. maroon with classic VT helmets. Let the play do the talking, not the uniform.
That mostly describes a kick returner. There's a reason punt returners are almost always pretty small and very quick, not necessarily super fast. They're generally not eluding DLs and LBs, but smaller, athletic tacklers. Get past that first layer.
The next thing we know Miller will be punting and kicking too because...well, I've heard he's a great athlete.
yep, that's what I have down. Will try again just in case!
I'll always carry a torch for Andie MacDowell. Something about her.
Short answer: a win.
Nit-pickingly analytical answer:
- A LONG touchdown throw.
- A sustained ground game with backs finding their lanes and hitting the hole with authority.
- Pass protection.
- Explosive plays of 20+ yards (not all game, mind you, merely their existence).
- Our front four blowing up their line, getting consistent backfield pressure without the aid of a blitz.
- Blitzing anyway.
- Facyson doing Facyson things.
- A competent kickoff return game.
- Only returning one kickoff.
- A win.
Seems like he's the #1 guy almost by default. Marshall, who did it last year, is suspended for the game as is his backup Dontre Wilson. Then Marshon Lattimore hurt his hamstring. Not sure they've had anyone else really practice at it.
I don't know about that. I always thought Barrett was better suited to beating a D like ours - a little quicker, perhaps more accurate on the shorter routes...
Our dbs in man always makes the mobile qbs so much more dangerous, especially the quicker ones who can cover a fair amount of ground before the dbs even realize they're on the move. They're also a more of a threat to house a run once they slip through a hole or something. I'm not sure Cardale is as much of a threat in that regard - seems more like Roethlisburger-esch impossible to tackle behemoth.
And the long-developing deep-ball advantage that Cardale has over Barrett (I hope) will be neutralized by our pass rush. I'd love to hear an OSU guy weigh in on these assumptions, but those are mine. If I'm Meyer, I go Barrett, 100%
Great play, but he really only makes one guy miss. If it was a punt, it would have been a pedestrian 5 yard return.
That's exactly my reasoning, against anyone else I think Barrett is better, but a bruising QB with a cannon arm could really hurt us if he can throw accurate deep balls.

Edit.
Would be smart to have "the effect" match the team uniforms, but I hope every goes "orange effect", no matter what the team wears.
