Wrote an article on this earlier this offseason after rewatching literally every snap Motuapuaka played last season. He definitely struggled with giving up yards after contact, he has a tendency to wrap up and fall down rather than run through the tackle.

He is an instinctive player with good physical attributes and I think he'll play fine this year, but if the light goes on and he starts making TFLs instead of just tackles he could be a special player.
"It's a time of life when you gotta say what makes you—Johnny Avocado, the Duke of Dangle, the Prince of Pppppoit—what makes you happy?".
Ahhh...Avocados. Any mention....always takes me back to the legendary Greaseman on DC101, and my first handle on the web, lol.
I expect a few long plays from both teams, but as I pointed out before (it was on 11w) we had an extreme edge in red zone defense for the 2014 season.
VT 6th, OSU 77th.
I'd like to see that stat borne out on the field again this year, starting Sept. 7th.
I disagree. How else are you supposed to eat biscuits?
once the essentials are covered
...with gravy. BOOM.
I am all in on the Marine reference
Vt beat osu. uva cans the football program and Dadi and Ken had 19 sacks between them.
1. Win the battle of Special Teams. (Losses in our biggest games can be laid at the feet of Special Teams gafaws)
2. +VT turnovers
3. Get TD, not FG inside the 20yd
4. Win 3rd downs
5. Keep OSU QB rushing yards low
If we do these things we WILL claim victory!!! Paraphrasing: The bigger the game, the more you have to think small -CFB
It leaves off his most relevant stat: 0-1 against Virginia Tech.
What's funny is that Meyer pretty much has to play his best quarterback, not just the one that would be better for this game.
If he plays Cardale, and they win, he has to stick with Cardale for the season or have a real QB controversy. Same with J.T.
Thank you.
For me, it seems sort of odd to have the team wear a different color from what they told the fans to wear.
If you have an announce "effect", you need to go with it.
They probably just mean this in the sense of "ready for the season." It's Orange Effect, so the team always does something in that vein. Doesn't mean we'll go full-on creamsicle or impersonate Clemson, but I suspect orange will be the dominant color that night.
Orange Effect at night = money.

Brewer: 2 passing TDs (one 50+ to bucky), no INTs
JC and Edmonds each with a rush TD.
Defense: 2+ picks, 8-10 sack lunches
Special Teams: >= 1 block
Urban replaces the pizza with a turkey leg instead, but same video appears.

Rush the field
I'm sure one will still be smoldering somewhere in Morganton.
I agree. I also think that Barrett's ability and experience at reading coverages makes him better suited to recognize the often complex and disguised coverages that Bud Foster runs.
These stats are great and really line up with what I saw on tape watching OSU last year. Thanks, OP!
After DBU locks up the win with another pick-6, Torrian goes up to Urban Meyer and does this.
I'm seriously considering becoming a double agent. The whole pizza pie thing has always been troubling. And if we get a definitive ruling that my general in the cake army, cheesecake, is indeed actually a pie...
Well, as goes cheesecake, so goes coach mcguirk.
Honestly, I just want an entertaining 4 quarters with a VT win!
(Me too) I don't look good in Orange
JT Barrett gets benched for turnovers, Cardale throws a pick six on his first play.
Fat man touchdown.
No turnovers by our offense.
AJ Hughes resumes his Heisman campaign.
I think that's what "gravy" means. You don't technically NEED gravy (though I could argue the opposite) but it sure is nice to have once the essentials are covered.
My wishlist was to make damn sure I didn't have to work for the game.
So I put my 2 week notice in last week.
Go Hokies!

LOL, Leonard! Goin' all platinum, yo.

Can't help it...had another flashback:
