I'm so glad that this thread reminded me of that day. /s
"Still can't get Randall being sacked 10 times against NC State out of my memory." oh my God.
But if he gets, on average, say 8 snaps a game, which is probably very high since most backups see less than 50 snaps a season if the starter remains healthy, is that worth a redshirt when you have Durkin and Motley available?
I'm just glad he doesn't look like this:

Hard to argue with Hall/Adibi/Anderson as your linebacker group.
It is what it is. College girls being college girls. You don't have to just look for the sorority girls to find types like these in the video either.
It's a parade of white girls and blonde hair dye, coordinated clothing, bikinis and daisy dukes, glitter and kisses, bouncing bodies, euphoric hand-holding and hugging, gratuitous booty shots, and matching aviator sunglasses. It's all so racially and aesthetically homogeneous and forced, so hyper-feminine, so reductive and objectifying, so Stepford Wives: College Edition. It's all so ... unempowering.
Once again, it's a sorority.
He suffered the injury but I think Adibi should be included in those 2004 linebackers.
Not downvotes, I can tell you that. No Sir, not us.
Reading just his comments in the OP above, he sounds bitter about something that personally happened to him. Just sayin. Personally, I agree: Who cares?! If they all want to join that sorority, so be it. I'm sure they raise a boatload of money for some charity every year and do their fair share of good. And if they want to flaunt around together, go right ahead.
And can you imagine the meetings with all of those sisters? That's a lot of females in one room at the same time.
Ah, the old "I'm sorry, but I don't date guys with hair longer than mine" will bring out the scissors every time.
Steal them from my father in law when he is not using them... ;)
So this is a sorority recruitment video?
I'll just say I'm glad I'm not old enough to worry about having daughters going off to college.
Bailey just sounds a bit bitter to me. I don't know what the problem is. Everyone wants everything to be so vanilla so not one person in the world (except...well you know who you are that aren't allowed to be offened) can be offended by anything that anyone produces or makes or says or does. Who cares??? If you don't like it don't rush the sorority and join one that you think has "higher class" or whatever. they were having fun. If you want your son to not objectify women then raise him right yourself. Instill good morals and character in him. If you don't want your daughter rushing a sorority because they do things like that then raise her that way. I'm sure most of those girls are nice girls and their parents did their best raising them. Bailey is just jealous because they don't fit his model of whatever and he could probably never land a date with anyone that looked half as decent as these girls do.
And if he's really serious about this type of stuff, does he boycott "Playboy" when they do their rounds of campuses in search of college girls to pose?? What about maxim or any of those other magazines?? Perhaps the cheerleaders outfits at alabama need to be changed as well. Unreal.
What a very diverse crowd they have. Those brunettes should be very honored to be a part of such a sorority
Also wish I was 20 years younger and still in college...
I think as we get a little bit into the season, he could develop into being our best option at QB if Brewer is unable to play for any reason. I also think he can be used effectively in some packages to jump start the offense if we are struggling.
I do think Lawson would be as effective in that roll. Maybe won't run through as many tackles but he has big-time potential to break off long runs. I just feel that he needs to be out there getting PT this season.
Actually, it's a cocoon. What's inside will come out stronger in a few weeks. Easy mistake to make, though.
That CB one is fun. I think the only two seasons where our corners were up there with this year are 04 and 07
It would be Pert-inent of us to do just that, to stay Head and Shoulders above the rest.
My sister is in Aopi, and said her room mate is in the questioned video. She also says that one of the reasons they got in trouble was because there was only one race shown in the video. I couldn't stand to watch the entire video to fact check that though.
Overall, as a 27 year old, I don't have a problem with the video, or its message. We constantly advertise to men with the objectification of women. If women are they one's doing it, who am I to complain.
When I graduated, Cook Out had more or less just opened. With Kroger, ABC store and Cook Out all in the same vicinity, what college student wouldn't call that area Gucci?
Maybe Northwestern, or their players specifically, don't have a point of direction now. It could be a dead issue. But is it a case of throwing the battle for the betterment of the war? Does this open up the Power 5 autonomy talk? They may not have wanted to touch the issue with what the players were doing themselves. (IF they win, we don't have to do anything! If they lose, it strengthens out argument.) Now that this is essentially dead, the pay to play speak can come back up. Or at least the Autonomy talks and what that means for the players at those power 5 schools.
So glad I am a straight shooter and only have sons...
Great idea for a post. I'll do 2004.
QB, Randall vs. Brewer - Randall. Brewer should improve, but I don't think he'll match Randall's ACC POY season.
RB, Imoh/Humes vs. Edmunds/Coleman - Just comparing the active 1-2 punch, it gets to be an interesting comparison. If healthy, I probably take the current group. Now, if we're comparing depth, I definitely take the current group.
FB, Kinzer vs. Rogers - Obvious.
WR, Royal/Morgan/Hyman/Harper/Clowney vs. Ford/Phillips - I take the 2004 group on depth of talent. Ford and Phillips fit right in with the older five, but beyond that no one knows.
TE, King/Mazzetta vs. Hodges/Malleck/Cline - We all love King, and I do too. But I gotta take the new guys.
OL - I'm gonna go out on a limb and pick the current group. Still can't get Randall being sacked 10 times against NC State out of my memory.
DE, Tapp/Burchette vs. Dadi/Ekanem - It seems close due to Tapp's legendary status, but I'm going with the current group.
DT, J. Lewis/Davis vs. Maddy/Marshall - Current group all day.
LB, Baaqee/Hall/Anderson vs. Clarke/Motuapuaka/Vandyke - 2004 group, only because none of the current guys outside Clarke has proved himself yet due to injury or youth. Seems unfair, but that's how I'm calling it.
CB, Williams/Green vs. Fuller/Facyson - I can't believe I'm saying this, but I can't call it. Push.
SS (er, ROV), Griffin vs. ? - Not gonna call it because (1) we don't have a rover yet and (2) I don't remember James Griffin at all.
FS, Fuller vs. Clark - We love the Fullers around these here parts, but I think Clark is an upgrade because he does all things well.
K - Pace vs. Slye - Slye because (1) the leg and (2) NC State.
P - Burns vs. Hughes - Hughes is probably our best punter since Burns, and that includes Bowden. I'm taking the current guy.

Their full year as a unit was 2005. I thought about doing that year later.
