Welcome to the site! And I agree with you. I hate playing the "it comes down to how you were raised card", but I wasnt exactly privileged when I was growing up, and I feel I got used to being let down and more well rounded because of it. Not everything in life is sunshine and rainbows, whoop dee do. Dust yourself off and keep moving forward

@ cds7c - I'd be delighted to see you finish as you predicted. And I'd hope to see you in the playoffs.

Pretty good at keeping the InfoSec (computer network interwebbed mumbo-jumbo) fairly accurate -giving the average viewer an understanding as to what is being used/going on without cramming horseshniznit down your throat. So good technical detail on a subject that relies heavily on the technical, along with an excellent storyline.

I had this funny feeling that when I visited the Triad long ago, they had Krogers. Was always wondering why they're all HT's these days.

I think we need to completely re-Vidal-ize our conditioning program. And Sasoon.

I didn't know where else to ask this and I didn't want to start a new thread but does anyone have any updates on our 2016 recruiting for basketball. I know we don't have any commits currently but this is usually around the time that the top talent starts committing. Are we in on anyone?

Great summary- your thoughts line up with what I saw.

McClease is the next great VT back- just something about him- very Duke Johnson-esque.
Yup- Settle seemed to get pushed around a little.
I thought Durkin did a good job moving the sticks in a couple of his drives. He's lost some weight (listed at 219 down from 235-240).
Lawson has some shake for a guy 6-6 220. I agree that he was going to the house a couple times and was caught by a cheapo 'touch' tackle

They certainly have a high PC level here at VT. Truthfully a time comes when everyone needs to get their feathers ruffled, and certainly begin to understand that their opinion is just that, an opinion.

As a 28 year old army veteran it's fun seeing how misguided some of my fellow classmates are when it comes to this.

at first glance, I think it's interesting that you have our offense averaging 25 points per game (based on the 11 reg season games for which you provide score lines) and yet the two losses come to teams scoring less than our offense's average. I mean, I know it's possible and I don't necessarily disagree with your picks in general, but that's an interesting prediction

I dunno.... reading through some of their findings in the ruling, I don't know if there's really anywhere to go from here. While they did say their findings only were associated with that one specific case, they also said that they aren't in a position to rule whether or not athletes are employees, and if the athletes cannot get that assurance, they really don't have a case.

If the National Labor Relations Board isn't willing to say that athletes are employees, and the athletes need that piece of justification to ensure they can unionize, I'm not sure how they can proceed and get what they want.
