I'm pretty sure I put down my deposit, but I'm really not sure how to go about actually getting tickets.
I find it hard to believe that guys can overtake folks on the chart based off one day in pads. That doesn't seem like a lot of reps for a competition. It does however look like Baron is looking good in pass rush drills.. I think the question becomes how does he do when you can't just pin your ears back.
Baron has looked very fast the last couple days
Also French, can we realistically have a LG at 6'8" with Osterloh? Doesn't that height make it near impossible to get under the pads of whatever DT hes against?
For Game 1, yes.
Reading between the lines, sounds like Shai might take the place of JCC when he comes back, and JCC might move to getting significant playing time as a slot receiver.
All I can picture is ECU's nose tackle from last year, except wearing O&M. That makes me excited.

Is this our RB depth chart? There's been a lot of news but I've not been able to keep up. I know Shai is out for game one. Is Marshawn going to redshirt? I know DJ Reid did, or at least that's what I read somewhere.
For game two, do you think Shai squeezes somewhere in the middle of the three you listed? Redshirt him too?
Good to hear on trey. Coming in to this season I thought if he was healthy and had the burst from his r-fr year he would probably be the best back on the roster. Still hope JC gets a good amount of carries because he's what being a hokie is all about. Sounds like shai is making a case for not redshirting though as well and all the coaches seem to talk about McMillan, but i'd prefer shane to keep the rotation to 2 or 3 at most preferably.
He's leaping guys on the depth chart at 359 lbs.... If he's that good at that kind of weight?

awesome to hear about Settle...Even if all he does is push the other guys to excel right now, it sounds like he's going to be a really special player for us. That's really exciting :D
2) Given Shane Beamer's comments yesterday and the sharpness of some of the cuts I am seeing in team on team work, Trey Edmunds is probably the best back on the roster right now. I like how Edmunds is seeing the hole and making a sharp cut on some of the inside zones
Like hearing that. He's a beast when he's 100% and if he's back to being close, that bodes well for our early season games until Shai gets rolling.

It pains me that the Panthers never seem to take a very big interest in the Hokies. I'll never forgive them for passing on Kam Chancellor 5 times when SS was one of our biggest needs. Blacksburg is 3 hours from Charlotte, do better Carolina.

The night games are for fans, not recruits.
Friday nights are just as good as Thursdays as far as I'm concerned. For recruiting, fill the stands, and you do that by winning and scheduling good games.

What's really cool is that it also appears to be completely transparent. We could put up a mesh 'jumbotron' over a North End Zone that's twice as high as it is now, and you could still see campus behind it when its not lit. You could also potentially put it up on the exterior of the West Stands expansion between the two tall columns to have a video board for pregames to increase the tailgating experience.
Yep, those weeknight games don't mean much for visitors. Plus, Fridays > Thursdays in every single way possible from a fan perspective. No NFL, no work/classes the next morning, so people only have to take one day off, two if they want to start tailgating early, pretty sure we're just competing with the MAC or something as far as TV coverage goes, you get a full day of football the next day to enjoy from your couch... did I cover everything?

It was like the perfect timing from them. They've been trying to create so many other stories to take attention away from Deflategate that they were going to jump all over the first legitimate one they could find. I mean, really... ESPN has been on a whole new level this year with trying to form and push the 'Chip Kelly is a racist' story, and then they try and go after Cam Newton for the shoving match the other day, saying it just proves he isn't ever going to be a quality person.... They are going to drive this Geno story into the ground, and then some. Its what they do. They're the TMZ of sports.

And given that he started focusing on the NBA in the past year or so, it doesn't seem to have affected the quality of production. As another side note, maybe he'll land somewhere to produce 30 for 30 type show for another network, just adding to the quality productions out there.
