Several games a year I would be in a swing shift (about 2:30). I could watch about an hour of a nooner and listen on XM going to work...but if the outcome of the second half was poor, many times I just couldn't bring myself to turn on the DVR that night or the next day. I don't know if I ever watched the Miami game from las year. Or did I and I've blocked it from my memory? I don't think I ever watched.
Yeah I'd try to keep up with the game via ESPN app or listen to it on the radio. Even when you don't know the outcome, watching taped sports loses something.
The tough part is not being able shout with your friends.
Watch the game in the evening when you can, before you talk your friends.
Depending on your work, maybe developing a routine of listening to the game on the radio.
I had to do that for a few years.
I always seemed to find a way to watch them as much as I could because I couldnt resist. Watch ESPN becomes your greatest friend. And if that is unavailable I turn to the radio broadcasts.

as amazing as the catch was, I still cringe every time I watch brewer's throw to rogers in triple coverage down the sideline (4:30)
Never added weight, never learned any position, and couldn't make the grades to stay. None of that is on VT.
I must say this one ended better than the first....but man i can't wait for Sunday night football.
Last open scrimmage that I went to was on a Thursday evening. So, maybe...

Got it. Last year we had 36 so we just did three 12 team leagues. This year we have 43 (and counting) so we'll probably have more flexibility between 10 and 12ers. So the official answer is that I don't know yet :)

Since there's zero media availability on Saturdays this August, my guess is there will be zero open scrimmages.
The closed nature of everything this year has not gone over well with us media types.

no worries. I certainly am not trying to single you out, even though I did (sorry), I just really am interested in someone giving me a more expansive take.
In regards to the storytelling, I think most people are looking at it from the wrong angle. What they of the "convoluted" side are looking for is the big bang theory of storytelling. Something happens and everything follows. Whereas Season 2 is the Implosion theory, something happens but it is only revealed a piece at a time through the development of the character(s). I would akin this to Memento by Christopher Nolan. That entire movie was frustrating because what you thought was the catalyst kept getting revealed to be only part of the story, but it was DAMN good. I see the same with the way the story is told for TD 2.
Perhaps the comment below about binge watching it would serve well for those that feel this way. Not sure.
