I was able to secure my tickets today! See you in a month Blacksburg.

Also there was a post on r/CFB that there is talk of a free Brad Paisley concert on Sunday night on the drillfield? I mentioned it to a big VT guy at work and he said he heard of the same thing from other #sources. Has anyone here heard anything credible about this?

As far as someone who comes from out of nowhere to be a productive receiver, I wouldn't count out Carroll. Dude's tiny, but he's an impoverished man's Ryan Switzer - quick, shifty, great hands. If he can physically survive taking more than one shot from a D1 DB or LB, he could be a real weapon in the screen game and those intermediate routes that Byrn made a living off of for 2 years.

My girlfriend's uncle is in Blacksburg right now with his family of youngsters (three kids under 7 years old) and asked me what there was to do, so here's what I told him:

1) Go to Carol Lee Donuts
2) Go to Carol Lee Donuts again
3) Get the kids' pictures taken with all 45 Hokie Bird statues around town
4) Bring me back Carol Lee Donuts

I'm not 100% convinced of Motley's ability to stay out of the training room, for one. He impressed the crap outta me last year when he started slinging the ball all over the field like a real live quarterback, but I'm not sure he's the QB of the future for us. The arm and athleticism are there, the drive... maybe, maybe not. He responded pretty well the last time playing time was hung out in front of him, maybe he'll do it again.

I ordered 3 pizzas from MM a few months back on a very non-busy Sunday afternoon (probably 10-15 people in the restaurant total). When I went to pick them up at the time they assigned me, they had our ticket ready and presented me with 1 pizza instead of 3...they straight up forgot to make the other 2, so we had to wait ~20 minutes for that to happen.

Steps for success:

1. Enter bar
2. Shout "Screw Michigan! It was a catch!"
3. Drink for free

Likely because 1) he could run them better than Motley could and therefore helps us win games right now, and 2) the coaches see him as the starter in 2016, so they want to get him practice/game reps and get him ready as quickly as possible. I wouldn't be upset if he took a redshirt, but word is that isn't going to happen.

"Screw Michigan! It was a catch!"

This x1000. If you memorize these words, you will be everyone's favorite Buckeye immediately.

The best part about this is being reminded how much talent (and young talent) is on this team: Nijman, Settle, Lawson, McMillian, McLaughlin, Shai, Marshawn, Ford, Phillips, Hodges, Malleck, Fuller, Facyson, Teller, Nigel, Marshall, Maddy, Dadi... plus whoever else I'm forgetting. Is it game time yet!

Love hearing stories like Kearns. Reminds me of my experience when visiting Tech for the first time. I was down on a campus tour with my dad primarily to check out Duke, UNC, and UVA (shudder). He suggested we go visit VT because he was familiar with the area from his college baseball days. The school honestly wasn't even on my radar at the time. I took one of the walking group tours starting from Burruss.

After the tour, we walked around a bit on our own and got lunch in town. When we got back in the car, I was just "Dad, this is where I want to go to school"

Feels great to hear that same sentiment from an OLman
