Then, in the follow up tweets, I was reminded of something from the earlier TKP thread about the presentation to the Board of Visitors, and future uniform consistency. Someone said something about the fonts, colors, etc, being consistent across the board. Coupled with the Nike reset coming next year, this made me think that this may be a clue as to what we'll see. Given this, take a look at the number font on the ladies v-ball unis. This could be what the numbers on next year's football jerseys look like. Kind of a Chicago Bears font. This could be a good look.

If Knowles was the underneath maybe he'd be great on a drag/underneath route because of his speed. a LB or S wouldn't be able to stay with him at all. Downside would be that Knowles had brick hands (which did get better towards the end of the year in 2013) and I'm not sure he's going to survive running through the middle too many times.

Nice call on Caleb. He would have the size to go through the middle, shake, speed (?), and hopefully vision to excel there.

Agreed. Making Knowles run crossing routes all day is going to put him in line for some big hits. He may or may not have gotten past what looked for the world to be a reluctance to take a hard hit (not a knock on him at all -- he got clocked on some KO returns and it takes a lot to convince your body to take any more). But the idea of him taking some monster hits from safeties doesn't give me warm fuzzies both in terms of health and ball retention.

I think multiple TE's are the easiest, best answer, bringing in Knowles or Asante for when you have routes needing speed to press the middle of the field.

Could've been a "informal suspension" type deal like when Corey Marshall "left the program to deal with personal matters" for a year.

IMO the reason isn't that important. He wanted to come back and the coaches/team wanted him back. Good.

I just don't picture many scenarios that would get Lawson on the field this year. If the offense is improved enough to give Brenden a bunch of quality snaps this year, I think he's going to be hard to beat as starter next year.

I'm excited to see next year's starting QB. Motley has a great chance to shock the world and nail down that spot. If he does, that means he's significantly better than some QB recruits who are "Loeffler" guys, and has embraced and shown mastery of Lefty's system better than recruits who came in as more natural fits to the system. I think Brenden has the tools and the drive to make it a real battle next spring, despite all the hype for the new guys.

If Lawson or Durkin wins the starting position, I suspect we'll see a budding superstar grow throughout the season.

Sam Rogers, perhaps?

I'm excited to see what Mihota can do at End. I love the size that he and Dooley bring and allow for 2 complete lines to rotate which is Wiles wants.

Marshal and VT have become close over the past decade or so. Would be a good transition to play there, and they do send quite a few to the NFL. Probably as good a chance there as ASU.

Any update on possible lawsuit. Feel like he could ask for admission back from the lawsuit. The kid loves the hokies and it would be great to have him back.

Also, I'm surprised by some of his choices of schools. I know the ASU DB coach just followed him. I know it's far from home, but that would be a better chance to get to the NFL than ODU or Marshall. Plus, I'm sure he would like the ladies there.

Whichever one can be found wide open 90% of the time like those two.
