Yea I agree, I meant SEC teams when I said top 10-15 teams. Its kind of silly to think that the loser of the National Championship game could have 3 losses.
This is the same thought I Had. Doesn't have the physicality I like on film for a defensive player, but definitely has the measurables and frame to bulk up to potentially be a good TE.
Bud as the new HC and let him pick the OC that he thinks would compliment his defense the best

# | Virginia Tech Football Recruiting: 2016 WR Divine Deablo Commits to the Hokies Settle is probably realistically in between the 247 and rivals ranking IMO, keep in mind these places had the change to evaluate him even further at the all American game where he wasn't in the greatest shape. There are always going to be differences of opinion depending on what settings they personally see the kids in. Snelson's disparity in rankings seems to have something to do with his off-the-field issue.
He was placed in injured list then cut. He is off the Cowboys and probably got a small pay check for being injured.
No, it wasn't a power play at all, read his book. Contract was all but signed with UNC.
Actually in his book, Frank admits that he had all but signed the papers while in Carolina, but decided to come back home and sleep on it. The next day he decided that he couldn't leave Tech and called them to let them know. That is the main reason that he was so understanding when Tech sent a plane to Georgia to pick up a OC a few years ago and that OC decided that he couldn't leave Georgia.
Yep, they only needed one Calvin Johnson and Demaryus Thomas.
I know one of our backs came in a little over weight last year, but overcoming Hodge pudge can be a tall order.
To be fair, it has been 2 years, and only two, or three of the offensive people left played before the staff change. You'd probably expect more seniors to at least be contributing if they had recruited well.
In fact, last year the majority of the offense was provided by people who hadn't played for our team in any previous season. That seems to be a legitimate reason to blame the previous regime.
Its kind of similar to our poor performance in basketball last year. It is reasonable to blame that on the way Seth Greenberg left. Yeah, it has been a while, but the timing of letting him gave us James Johnson, and you can't really expect Buzz to fix it in a year.
I don't think changing TEs into O linemen is an issue, but it is an issue if that is your plan to get O linemen.
Of course some people will need to change positions. Your plan to get one position shouldn't be to recruit another though.
BCS? Maybe. But we have a playoff committee...where anything is possible. So who knows? 'Bama should never have been a one seed last year (which I said before the Sugar Bowl). That and putting FSU third really damaged the rep of the CFP committee for me.
Adam Jones got asked recently why he's never pied Buck Showalter. His answer: "Because I'm not crazy."
While searching the internet for mouth watering gifs I stumbled upon this and felt it was appropriate.

I can also attest to the terribleness of this thread a mere 12.5 hours later (corrected for CST). Late night studying and this thread is making my mouth water.

I agree completely
I can't see a two loss Bama getting in over a one loss Clemson, especially Clemson wins the ACC.
And some how it's 2 in the morning and I'm watching a music video by Taylor Swift.
This is the song I listen to early in the morning on game days. Especially at the beginning of the season.

# | Frank Beamer Hopes Virginia Tech's Next Head Coach "Would Come From Our Staff" And putting him on O was the worst coaching mistake Frank has made in 10 years. His entire previous history was in his Dad's path on the back end of defense. I would personall much rather see what Shane has on that side then keep Cornell coaching 2 kids.
Just HC for now.
Small Town Throwdown--Brantley Gilbert. Very blue-collar song, just like the Hokies: "'Round these parts ain't much to do, 'cept work like a dog till Friday (practice). Punch that clock, cash that check, raise a little hell till Sunday (Saturday is gameday)."
Best case scenario: Redskins pick him up, he subs in for an injured Alfred Morris against the Cowboys (and Morris' injury is just an ankle sprain or something small), and runs for 150 and 3 TDs.

If this is how you wish someone a Happy Birthday remind me to not let you know when mine is. Wow.
