# | Frank Beamer Hopes Virginia Tech's Next Head Coach "Would Come From Our Staff" That's possible, if you have a DC and and OC that will go along with it, they're good enough to take VT to another level, and the entire group is able to kick recruiting up to a more elite level, and nothing falls apart in the mean time.
It's a VERY tall order. We'll know if it's even within the realm of possibility in a year or two, but a lot of things would have to go stellar (like next-level stellar), and everyone would have to be willing to go along with it.
It's difficult to believe Bud would go along with that, but you never know.

# | Frank Beamer Hopes Virginia Tech's Next Head Coach "Would Come From Our Staff" My preference would be to do whatever possible to keep Foster. Foster is GREAT at what he does. I hate to mess with that part of the equation.
VT needs an uptick in recruiting and offense to get to the next level, so whatever HC can make that happen in combination with the other personnel would be optimal. Loeffler is so far unproven, one way or the other.
If we have a "tell", it should show up in every practice, and our coaches on both sides of the ball have been around long enough to spot it.
I'm thinking it's something coaches know about Lefty or about Searles. But Clemson knew what we were doing before Searles arrived.
There is a book on us somewhere.
My single biggest gripe about the OL...for years...is the number of times we have a lineman blocking absolutely no one in pass pro. I don't know why it happens but it is something even a novice like me can see.
I hope he gets another shot, feel like that could be it though. I'll think happy thoughts... Tyrod could start for the Buffalo Bills this year.

You can have any number of walk ons that you want. I was basically saying I don't see how VT can take 5 WRs in this class, unless there is more attrition to the existing guys on scholarship not named Ford and Phillips.

The original claim was that teams have 14-15 WRs on the roster. The numbers indicate that is a generally correct assertion.

This is basically the same thing as hokiesports. I don't think Alden Carpenter, CJ Carroll, Michael Brainard, Austin Jones, etc are on scholarship. This lists, what, 100 players, ans Settle isn't listed on either list yet.
