One thing I've wondered about is how the alley player makes his decision on the force/spill calls. Is it sometimes scripted into the defense, dependent on the offense's formation and the alley players coverage responsibilities, or is it just the player's preference for that particular play/random?
Not sure if you'd be able to answer without being in the meeting room with the defense, but it is something that I've wondered about whenever the concept comes up.

Miami already pulls that kind of talent so I dont see their recruiting changing much with a new coach. Their issue has always been the same; they don't play as a team. Until they get a coach that can get that to happen they wont be back. I thought Shannon had a chance to do that given that he played there but no dice. Jimmie got them to be an us against the world team and that's what made them dominant and I'm not sure who out there can do that again.
As for UVA, if they get the right coach they can be dangerous. Football is their weakest sport by far and a slight uptick in it and they could start pulling recruits again. All that being said, we are losing out to the blue bloods for the top talent, not UVA.

I don't get why we are so scared for them to lose timecop? Any new coach at UVA will have a hard enough time recruiting against VT especially once those "breed life"connections go missing. that will be a tough place to sell IMO
I'm more worried about Golden getting fired and someone getting that job.. Miami could pull tons of talent/5*kids and ACC titles with the proper people in charge.

It's still pretty tough cutting up the full games to extract the highlights even though I have the original video files. I mean, I had to rewatch the Wake Forest game.
Wait, there were highlights from the Wake Forest game? All I remember is a steadily increasing feeling of dread followed by depression.

I may go with buffalo trace this year. Excited for the trailer though. Last years was epic. Can't wait for this years with the rematch coming up and all.

# | French on the Bench on ESPN Radio Blacksburg today (7/20), Updated w/ Podcast I think it's too early to tell, but as of right now there hasn't been a major spike in traffic that could be attributed to radio. However, if we can gain just one regular reader from the exposure, it's a huge win for TKP.
It's another reason why word of mouth is so important for TKP. Because we're independent, we don't have a network like 247Sports or SB Nation regularly promoting our work. We expand our readership organically and every time you tell a friend, or we tell a stranger about TKP, it helps grow our audience.

I can't speak for anyone else, but my point in being here is to talk sports and enjoy a community where I can discuss lots of things and share experiences. Getting a laugh every now and then is a good value add.
Actually, Mike Strawther made that. It's a screen shot from the actual video and not just a still image he made. Pretty crazy stuff he has pulled off this year.

If only people knew how much tedious labor went into these. Even on the 2011 trailer I only used footage I gathered (didn't have my media center until 2012). I literally pulled up the games on ESPN3, let them buffer...scroll...buffer...scroll...and finally screen capture the one play I wanted.
If you go back and look at that trailer you will see a grey bar at the bottom showing the ESPN3 progress bar.
