I think the Texas game should be higher, say 3 or 4. That was our unveiling on the national stage. The 95 Miami game was big, but it wasn't even on tv at the time. I remember seeing the score and thinking it had to be a mistake. So I'd likely drop that game a notch or two.
How do you figure? VT is a much better gig than SMU.
Hearing the Bill Roth calls in there made me sad.

# | French on the Bench on ESPN Radio Blacksburg today (7/20), Updated w/ Podcast Thanks for the insight. I heard of TKP by word-of-mouth originally and I've shared this wonderful knowledge with many friends of mine. I've always thought that if you run a tight ship and do things the right way word-of-mouth is all you need to grow and be successful. Watching TKP grow over the last couple of years (since I've been frequenting the site) has been awesome and it really shows what a great thing you have going here. I love this place and I really appreciate all of the hard work that you and the rest of the staff put into it. I have donated to the site before and I plan on doing it again. I also try to purchase merchandise to keep your lights on. Many thanks to you, Joe, for all that you have done to build such an awesome place on the interwebs. It's a true gem!!

Wow. I was there for half those games. Awesome.
Nothing beats the OSU game for me. Not just the rank of the team, but the 3 year run they were on and the way they finished.
That 2003 game against MIami was huge, and beating WVU always warms the heart.
I think turkey legs are the meat of the conversation.
I'd have put the '95 game against Syracuse in there somewhere. McNabb was the freshman phenom, whole nation was abuzz over him. They came into Lane favored to win, I believe. Cornell Brown and JC Price pummeled him. IIRC, the good guys were up 17-7 at halftime. Won going away 31-7, I think. It was something like that and I'm too lazy to look it up exactly. I remember an older Alumni near us at half time yelling how Syracuse was finished, they'd thrown everything they had at our D and had been shutdown. He was right.
Was cold as he!! that night too. I was drunk enough I didn't feel it though. I also remember the oranges and sugar cubes being thrown on the field afterwards and thinking "no way, wishful thinking." I was at the Sugar Bowl just over a month later very happy I'd been wrong!
