Another so so day here today. Caught five flounder, only one keeper, maybe 25 croaker, destined for deeper water flounder bait, and a couple of nice spot. So far so many dinks. Hope the summer gives it up around here in Mathews.

Buffalo Trace has been hard to find for me in the Charlotte area over the past few years. I stumbled upon a bottle at New Year's and have limited my consumption to ensure it made it until football season. It won't be the 2015 designated bottle of choice but it will certainly be brought out when the occasion calls for it.
What part of pictures and gifs "turn you off" may I ask? I can tell you I rarely visit othe text only sites think reddit or other message boards. The articles written by the contributors is top of the line so I'm not sure what content you might be missing?
Again, I feel like it shouldn't be that hard or divisive to create a preference in a user's account that doesn't load images. I could be completely wrong; I don't know.

What I do know, is that there are plenty of people like myself that find the GIFs to be a bit obnoxious.

I'm probably at the top of your list as the worst offender, but I definitely see your point. For my part, I honestly try my best to to find originals. Seeing the same ones all the time is definitely a bit tedious, but if they are getting the legs, they are going to keep being posted.
All that said, I am probably going to celebrate a big commitment with a shot of tequila and a posting of the Mexican hat dance every damn time. It's like "mondays are cool happy occasions" with me - it just feels like my own little tradition and spurs continued good luck. And some, like the Sabre guy falling off the horse... well, I ask you...when is that not appropriate?
I suppose an effort could be made to "retire" gifs, but in the end, the legs control all the behavior. When people are tired of it, they will stop upvoting it, and it will go away.
I love the gifs, but I hope there is a way to let you screen them out and enjoy TKP as much as the rest of us.

I like funny posts too, but let's be honest, pretty much the same GIFs are reposted in every single thread. The posts that actually generate laughs are generally the short, witty ones, which I enjoy.

I have to agree - should be higher. I watched that game in the lounge of the Roseland Ballroom in NYC while we were on break after setting up for the Blues Traveler New Year's Eve gig that they used to do every year at that venue. Got to watch the game, then the concert....what a night...only thing that sucked was having to work until 5 or 6 in the morning breaking down the show afterwards.
