VT actually hasn't had that many transfers. Name the transfers in the last 15 yrs that have been starters.
And only one QB of note that I can recall.
That QB transfer was 1) in a much more challenging QB depth situation than exists for 2016 and beyond and 2) with a kid who had already graduated (and thus was an instant transfer) and was anticipated to be the starter at his previous school if not for the injury.

The only glaring thing I see is that if a 5* in state player doesn't stay in state the schools like FSU, Duke,Oh State, ect ect have 0 problems getting out of state 5* kids.
VT has been struggling with the top recruits lately for multiple issues, but all it takes is a 10 win ACC title game season to get up on the up&up. I have a ton of confidence that we will get back to Charlotte this year!

Even if you were able to get away, he'll still haunt your dreams...
We (tOSU) might have been in the picture in 2012 when we went 12-0 after a 6-6 season; but we were banned from a bowl game due to NCAA violations. Had our AD done a voluntary 2 year ban, instead of a 1 year one we may have been bowl eligible and undefeated along with ND which probably would have vaulted us over UA into the NC game.
Woulda, shoulda, coulda....

ok I'll jump on the 'semantics' wagon with you...I agree that we're probably both nit picking a bit over words.
that being said, I don't see how what you've just said really makes any sense.
Critics (including myself) have pointed out that his performance so far has not demonstrated that he is competent
So to me, this means "Loeffler is not competent"
You go on to say
I haven't ruled out that he could be competent
Which reads to me that "Loeffler is not necessarily incompetent"
So you're basically saying nothing here. You haven't really picked a side. It's pretty easy to say "Well he could be or he couldn't be" and then tell people after the fact that you were never technically wrong.
My argument is that critics of Loeffler truly believe that he is incompetent, or unfit for the job. In my mind, if he does his job (again, I'm assuming we're all on the same page that says if he can put us in the top 50% statistically...and win games VTGM...then he is sufficiently doing his job) that proves that he is, indeed, competent and would therefore be grounds for his critics to eat crow.
I want to emphasize here that I am not attacking your position specifically but instead I am arguing to the general sentiment of Lefty's critics. You have used qualifiers like "I've never said that he couldn't be competent" that kind of set you in a bit of a middle ground where you can protect yourself from being completely wrong. I have no issue with that tactic, as I have employed it myself, but I don't categorize you as a typical Loeffler critic.
As long as you guys don't embarass us in the game I think we'll be ok. If it ends up being like the last time we played LSU then it will be bad. 10-14 point loss though not bad in my opinion. Although a win would be better.

I read on another board that there was "a lot of stuff to his troubles" as well as they were amazed it has been kept this quiet and the facts were shocking. Who knows, all I know is we need him on the field this year. Just hard to say what he would have done with no police involved and no grades involved to get him kicked out of school.

When the USWNT was playing Japan for the Cup, we tried the entire first half to find a workaround to having to watch through Fox, since none of us had an account. Eventually VPN'd through a BBC Sports feed for the second half. Not gonna lie, hearing Brits commentate the game was pretty awesome.
