If you are waiting around for Beamer's retirement to be official in the papers, then there won't be much discussion to be had about what to do when he's gone.

I have a feeling the people who need to decide what to do when he's gone will know before it's in the paper, so does it really matter if we wait to know for sure or not?

How so? He has produced two offenses that were worse than 90th in the country, and neither team had worse than a '90th in the country' talent level. This team is probably at least in the top half in terms of talent and returning experience. The minimum expectation should be a top 50% offense. If he turns out a top 15 in the country offense, I'll gladly dig into my plate of crow.

To be fair I do recall the coaches saying that not all the interceptions were his fault. Remember he was throwing to mostly freshman last year. The WRs made some mistakes as well that caused those picks. Of course no one knows what the receiver is doing is wrong and only sees the QB throw the ball the the other team so he gets all the blame. Not to say a share of them weren't his fault but I don't think every interception was. I have a lot of hope for him this season. If we don't make the ACCCG it will be a disappointment.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but I also think there is a "set amount" for recruiting in the budget. My suspicion is that VT cannot afford to chase marginal prospects that require multiple plane rides just to find out they are going to another school. I can only imagine the frustration at the cost and travel time to recruit players like Adonis Williamson or Eric Whitehead when they are unable to get on campus. It is resources you could have spent elsewhere, visiting more prospects closer to home.

Also makes it doubly important that Adonis and Eric eventually make it to Tech however winding their path may be.

I'm in Alexandria, and I'd be down for a share/tasting type event.

Getting involved with a TA or tutor would never result in dismissal. In those cases it's usually the teaching party that gets in trouble, not the student.

If it has to do with a girl and is not criminal it can only really be harassment of some flagrant nature. and the girl in question has not pressed charges.

despite the article above I still think it is an academic issue.

Overrated sure beats an empty roster spot. We've got a whole lot of eggs in the Lawson/Durkin/Jackson basket currently. I personally wouldn't mind having one more guy who's at least taken snaps in a college practice before.
