No... It was a string of tweets. The impression I got was that Delaney thought Nike was cooler than everything else, and, if he was good enough to play at a Nike school, why would he bother with an Adidas school? I don't doubt that this happens, but based on the context it was "If the school doesn't have a Nike deal, then it's not cool enough for me to play there." I'll try to dig up the tweets.
I'm sorry to tell you but several of those are heart picks lol
This.
Like, holy shit, have you seen the uniforms adidas is putting out?
That's different. High level AAU basketball teams are sponsored by Nike UA etc and then essentially blackmail recruits by saying they'll pull the deal from their AAU team if they choose a college that isn't the same sponsor. That doesn't exist in football
I'm taking Hershel Walker and Bo Jackson as co-TB1, a bad ass O-line and I'm running EVER DAMN DOWN!!!
Everyone else is just gravy.
Totally reminds me of this dank meme

Damn you reality!!!
Doesn't work that way... Malcolm Delaney once tweeted (can't find the tweet anymore, it was 3+ years ago) that he refused to even talk to Louisville coaches because they weren't a Nike school.
You don't see recruits signing up at Maryland because they want to set trends and make under armor cool. Recruits want to go schools that are already cool. Nike is cool. Under Armor is OK. Adidas is struggling.
VT must stick with Nike, unless someone else offers us a preposterous contract.
Put a Gobbler in your pants? ;)
Don't know. They always just list it as "supplied apparel"
Edit: Its definitely retail price.
Semester dismissals don't count summer sessions, so at best he is back in Jan if it's one semester.
You've got a couple of years on me, and I also assume we're strictly going by collegiate production, right?
Quarterback - Andrew Luck
Running Back - Reggie Bush
Running Back - Todd Gurley
Wide Receiver - Amari Cooper
Wide Receiver - Calvin Johnson
Tight End - Bucky? Gronk?
OLine - I'm not knowledgeable enough about this position to rate each individual, so I'll just collectively say Bama's in 2008 was pretty awesome
Defensive End - Glenn Dorsey
Defensive Tackle - Ndamukong Suh
Defensive Tackle - Terrance Cody?
Defensive End - Chris Long? He was the only reason that Wahoo team was decent
Outside Linebacker - James Laurinaitis
Middle Linebacker - Luke Kuechly
Outside Linebacker - Rey Maualuga
Corner - Kyle Fuller
Free Safety - Tyrann Mathieu
Strong Safety - Eric Berry
Corner - Patrick Peterson
I choose both.
I'm still holding out some crazy hope that Reavis' appeal will go through or his dismissal was only for a semester and he will be there in August.
I keep my Orange and Maroon glasses on and continue drinking the kool-aid until reality violently rips them off my face and pumps my stomach.
UNC attempting to throw stones?
First of all this is great, good for him turning up the academics. Secondly, not being from the area, I didn't understand that Stonewall Jackson is a highschool and thought the editor nicknamed him "Stonewall Jackson" based on the title of the Article. Which although a great nickname for a DT, I couldn't figure it out. My brain then took me here before some research....

Adidas in the football landscape is bruuutal. the recruits love love love nike. Miami is going to struggle with adidas. For the most part i think Adidas really only succeeds best in soccer.
I just won Super Bowl 49 with that team...19-0 on the season. Final game was against the Texans, still lead by Schaub. It was fun sacking him. And two INTs, one a pick-6 by D. Hall.
Both of their losses were in triple overtime. (combined 8 points)
Both of our losses were against #2 teams. (combined 45 points) LSU blew us out.
I'd say that LSU had "better" losses at that point.
But bottom line, everyone knew that the only way for VT to stay ahead of LSU was for VT to win the ACC, and LSU to lose the SEC.
I literally live around the corner from SJHS. Still annoyed with myself that I couldn't find time last year to see the young man play, but at least I'll see him on my TV screen soon enough.

Never argue with a Wahoo or Terp...others can't tell which one is the original dufus.
I have yet to read anything that says anything more than he is no longer enrolled.
I take that to mean he is no longer enrolled...
Sure males me a ProudHokie!
We were ahead because our 2nd loss was to the #2 team in the nation at the last second, whereas they lost to maybe-ranked Arkansas, and somebody else... Kentucky? I forget. Point was, emphasis was still on who had the "best losses"

Thanks for the visual. >slaps head< Wished I had thought of that.
