It came down to us missing uncontested shots, especially from 3. Duke purposely sagged off our guys on perimeter but we didnt make them pay. Bedford/Avdalas/Hammond were a combined 1 for 14 from 3. Lawal was also 0 for 3. You cant have 16 empty possessions against a Duke team and expect to win. Hokies missed 32 shots overall. We will lose any game that happens even to Boston College.
He's got some kind of nagging injury. Needs to sit a week or two and get healthy
I suppose one could still gripe about the opportunity cost of what the academic programs might have gotten if that money had been reinvested. But that's true of any expenditure ever. (Including academic expenditures.)
I can certainly see an argument that (in the current era) a successful football program that climbs into the P2 may produce higher returns than other investments the university might make.
I wasn't expecting a win, just hoping for a good showing and wasn't totally disappointed. I am, however, over waiting for Neo to adjust to the US game, his youth and seeming lack of confidence, but I wasn't going to boo him. I also will not blame anything on the refs, we just couldn't hit those wide open shots when it mattered most. Duke is for real, though, and Boozer was all that was advertised.

I wasn't expecting to win and the refs made sure of it. Just happy with their effort for the most part. I think we need to explore if Lemon laws extend to basketball players like Neo. We got sold a bill of good that just hasn't performed.

Not even close. As someone who's eaten at both many times, there is no comparison between the two. I often met clients at F&F for breakfast because of logistics, but for a decent meal after our day on the river, the Palisades was the spot after they opened.

Rock said after the match that he thought this could be the start of a 6 to 7 year run by Tech in the rivalry. It's easy to see why he thinks that when you look at these projections.
He loves going to the double under inside trip but haven't seen him try it in a while. Scouting report on that is clearly out.

133 at the NCAA Tournament is going to be super tough. All top 10 guys could win it.
Mullen wrestles like a guy with no game plan match to match. He doesn't have any go-to offense, so he cant press any specific action or pattern. I'm reasonably sure if he had 10 seconds to score, there would be no offensive game plan in his head. It's disappointing for a guy at his level and physical abilities.
Yeah 184 is the biggest immediate question mark. I'm not sure what Robie and staff are going to do there. I know fans have their eyes on the guy from Maryland if Tech goes back to the transfer market. I'm with you on the Mullen frustration. Guy is extremely talented but some times he doesn't get after it. The Pitzer match was a prime example. That and he dives under sometimes and gets himself in trouble. He is fast enough to get better angles. I wonder if Desiante is big enough to bump up next year if Burton can go 174.
We are 10"+ north of Charlotte. My kids aren't going to school anytime soon :(
