Thanks. Seems a bit odd to me, but I hope he gets picked up.
Journell + NFL kicker type money = Drug deals going bad every week. Piss tested out of the league within two years unless the NFL does go ahead and allow for "medicinal marijuana" as Goodell indicated they were looking into here

It's from the Guardians of the Galaxy trailer, a Marvel movie coming out later this year.
Bury DC, I could use another three days of telework.
Great pull from the next Marvel movie. Guardians of the Galaxy is a weird cast of characters, not sure what to expect from that movie but it should tie into the Avengers next movie so a must see.
Have a turkey leg and welcome!
ODU did the same in Norfolk. Had guys from local small schools.
Yep, Grant, FL. I think BilldozerVT is in South FL from an earlier post I saw.
I don't trust that Journell has turned a corner. Obviously we can't tell for sure whether he actually has or not so only time will tell. Is it bad that I'm afraid if he gets a job in the NFL he'll mess it up and further tarnish his reputation? I don't want VT to be associated with him at all. To me, he was not a class act. I'm all for giving someone a second chance, but this kid blew his second and third and fourth chances...I won't be surprised if he blows it again.
I've been lurking here for quite a while and this topic finally pushed me to join up! I have to give a shout out to Frank's (attached to 622 North). Consistently has some of the best beer in town (only the Rivermill comes close in my opinion) and the bar food is prepared by the same chefs that make 622's food, I believe. So it's really really good. There's a little more of a townie feel there but it's not a deterrent like some other places. It's just a good place to go to relax. Music usually isn't too loud, but they do have some (good) live bands frequently, in which case it does get a little crowded and loud.
That gif looks like it came from a disney movie gone bad...lol.
LOLUVA had their pro day last week. The two big things that came out of their pro day was Morgan Moses is down something like 20 lbs, and that everyone at the pro day was surprised that the NFL guys are looking for players who know how to win.
He did play a while ago. Finished his career in 2010. Seemed like he was actually trying out from the article. Here's his info from Hokiesports
+1. lol, well played...
He didn't say high schools...he said small schools..BIG difference
A classy move, but did we let UVA players in? PLEASE NO!
This is what happened to me as well.
This made me laugh...and almost costed me a new monitor and keyboard but luckily I was able to hold the coffee in. Bravo.
The middle class really does get sort of screwed here if they have multiple kids. My parents made too much for me to be given all those fun grants and scholarships and only enough loans to cover a small part of my expenses. Financial aid doesn't really take into account familial situations like number of siblings and how many of them are going to school at the same time. When my brother started going to Tech the amount of money I got, and have to pay back, increased by about $1k per year.
Not to mention a family that could support one kid through college can't necessarily do that when they have to also provide for their siblings also.
Paul VI
2013-2014 Record 31-6 (14-4)
They had two seniors this year that were Top 10 in Virginia but were not nearly as highly ranked as the junior class.
Those two are Quadree Smith, 6'7" 290 Lbs Power Forward, ranked 78th at his position and 9th in the state and Evan Taylor, 6'4" 180 Lbs Point Guard, ranked 62nd at his position and 7th in the state.
2015 Candidates
Marcus Derrickson is a 6'7" 225 lbs Power Forward out of Paul VI in Fairfax, VA. He is currently ranked 50th overall, the 13th Power Forward, and the number 2 recruit from Virginia. He is verbally committed to play at Georgetown as of Oct 2013. He has led Paul VI to a 20-5 record this season. He is averaging 12.2 PPG while shooting 78.7% from the FTL. He has surprisingly made 20 three point attempts this season.
Franklin Howard Has an offer from Virginia Tech. He is a 6'4" 185 lbs Shooting Guard. He is currently ranked 65th Nationally, 12th as a Guard and is the number 3 prospect from Virginia. He is currently seen as being split between Georgetown and Syracuse for his final destination. He had to sit out this season due to an ACL tear so does not have any stats for this season.
Josh Reaves, 6'4" 185 Lbs, the starting shooting guard for Paul VI due to Howards injury is currently ranked 127 Nationally for the class of 2015. He is the 27th best shooting guard and 6th best recruit in Virginia. He does have Tech listed among his interests on 247, but doesn't show an offer. Reaves averaged 12.6 PPG as the leading scorer for the Panthers.
Kevin Dorsey, 6' 170 Lbs is the starting Point guard for this loaded roster. He has an offer from Virginia Tech. He is rated a four star by 247, ranked 94th Nationally, 25th PG, and 4th in the state of VA. He averaged 12.4 PPG this season. His leading school right now would either be Creighton or UConn more than likely but he has given no indication of where he stands.
These four players that if Tech could land them as a group, would be a top 15 recruiting class.
Wine class? Man I was in the wrong curriculum...
Can someone refresh my memory on Davon Morgan? Didn't he graduate a while ago? Was he there helping out or trying out?
This thread is awesome in that we have a TKP troll whom we all immediately placed in the record Turkey Leg hole! That person owes us all so many Turkey Legs we could eat for weeks!
Trolls will never survive here. Another reason TKP is great - and the blog's design seems to help make this so... Trolls show up, and:
OK, back to our regularly scheduled channel....
