very impressive! I think I made it a day or two before I got my first downvote...I'm a quick learner though...TKP was quick to show me the error of my ways and for the most part I've been able to stay out of trouble since

So I have a question in logic. If UVA has a spring game, but no one is there to see it - Did they actually have a spring game???

Who does everyone think the 4 permanent captains will be this year (If Frank goes with all permanent captains again)??

Several guys were hitting the basketball court about a year ago, which didn't work out so well.

We got alot of kids who are relatively new to the WR position. I don't buy the idea that anyone is locked into their performance last year.

Take Knowles for example. If I were that kid I'd be shacked up with Gentry and probably working core, core, core, and leg explosion for cuts and jumps. I'd be a different guy come September than I was last September.

I could see Parker "coming from nowhere" and doing the same type of workout as Knowles.

I know our guys who went combine are gifted athletes, but I've seen enough videos of them working out to know that they have set a very good example for these skill position guys. I will cry for 50 days and 50 nights and flood the earth if it doesn't rub off on our WRs. Not a threat, its a promise, so all you NATs better start building your arks.

Sure these guys didn't have a great last year, but I can see potential. I can also see a higher hurdle to playing time in Morehead. Lastly WR seems to be about speed, route running (cutting, getting open, running reliably), getting the ball when close, and YAC. Every WR spot needs a different combination of these but WR talent is fungible when your guys are developing. I refuse to think that anyone has a position locked up at this point. While it might seem like hyperbole, if Knowles got pushed by Parker, but developed his route running and desire for the ball, I could see him playing in Byrn or Stanford's "spots". Playing the silly game where our depth chart has people penciled in at this point, which it doesn't. I don't see this being a strength next year, but it only takes two guys to emerge through hard work this summer, and I think think it would be a strength.

Virginia Tech vs Cincy game for today has been moved up to 3:30 and no ESPN3 showing.

They were also talking about our defense in the beginning of the season a lot. They even said it was the best for a couple weeks. Then when we got ranked, they actually were talking about us going tot he ACCCG and maybe being able to slow down FSU's offense.

Then Duke happened. But to me it seemed the damage wasn't that devastating because sometimes they focused on Duke being good than us being bad. Then Boston College happened. After that they were pretty much done with us.

VT is a regional team. Nationally there are much bigger headlines from schools with a much larger and national fan base. We got in the spotlight from poking our heads in the national picture when we weren't supposed to belong. In 2011 there were MNC talks. The past two years we've been average. We get covered as an average team would.

If it was Pritchard there definitely would have been a bidding war

I found a lunch pail at an antique store the other day. Now I just need to put some paint on it and it will look like the real deal. They also had a sign from East Eggleston hall if anyone is particularly attached to that building and has $475 to drop. I might have considered it if it was from Pritchard...

I would have thought giving recruits a tour of Heinz Field would have been the ultimate recruiting tool other than a completely brand new stadium on campus might be.

Its a pretty sexy sell:

Even TimeCop might be able to just use his YOU and be successful with this as a backdrop

...and even then you probably still thought about it until they made it clear they weren't letting anyone in. Thus back to the party in the parking lot.

Yeah, that's the part I don't get. "Here, look at this place that's the same as where you play now. Don't worry, you'll be playing in a bigger stadium, but we won't show you that yet." I really don't see how playing your spring game at a high school helps sell your program.

That said, I was ready to head into the stadium from the tailgating until informed it was cancelled.
