i think the ultimate user experience will be when all of this online only content is available via an app or "channel" directly through a cable set top box. one remote, one TV input, one fluid experience. Cable companies should embrace streaming as a supplement to their service (as most people currently use it) as opposed to viewing it as competition.

when i go to my onDemand menu, ESPN3 is there, ACC Network is there, etc. i shouldn't have to switch over to my Roku or Apple TV, etc.

that's my dream, anyway...

That is odd, he was a solid RB. They have to be pretty stacked at RB or pretty depleted in their secondary. I'm guessing a little of both.

That is weird. He is good enough to start at some ACC schools. I feared a 1-2 punch of him and Johnson, guess I won't have to worry about that anymore.

Im liking the patriotic vibes ... I think we should hire this guy to help with pregame. Maybe from the battlements of lane.

For my set I just put a couple of coats of a clear coat on them to make them look a little more sleek. Like the other guys, tacky at first but once that stuff got fully dry and I used the boards a little more, they got pretty slick.

I'm not sure that is a problem (those guys being Flankers). Byrne and especially Knowles need to be pushed hard for playing time, so I'm happy we have incoming talent at that position.

I have the same shoes except the grey suede piece is maroon on mine. I wear them to every VT game and plan to have them forever. If they ever get too beat up to wear anymore, I will give them a proper burial.

How I think the mindset for spring and the season should be.....

True. That's why I said "generally" and "only for great players". You and pbw just named a whole bunch of stellar players.

yeah and I should have said correctly lacking/different because a "new mindset" doesn't automatically mean the previous was wrong

Seeing as I already use my AppleTV to stream WatchESPN, I see this as a more organized package for ACC sports. Maybe we get a little more content (olympic sports, commentary, etc.), but ultimately this feels like a way of improving the coherence of they way they deliver their various sporting events.

If ESPN wants to improve my ease of access, I'm completely on board. Now stop trying to raise my cable.

A great leader is often surrounded by great followers. Can't lead those who don't want to be lead. I think the respect that Tyrod and many others had from their players equalled the respect he had for them. They would give everything they've got for him because they knew he would do the same. It's a shame the team didn't always do that for Logan when he often gave everything he had.

I would think if Chad Morris really thinks this guy is better than what he currently has, then he would put on the full court press and bring him in to start. If he doesn't, he must believe his current QB's are better.

Here is what Clemson has:
Junior Cole Stoudt (6-5, 205, Dublin, Ohio) enters his third season as Boyd's backup. In high school, Stoudt - the son of former NFL quarterback Cliff Stoudt - passed for a school-record 4,393 yards and 52 touchdowns at Dublin-Coffman High School, breaking records held by former Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn.

Redshirt freshman Chad Kelly: Out of high school, Kelly was rated as the No. 4 quarterback in the nation and the No. 1 player in New York by ESPN.

And of course...the newest QB commit for Clemson:
Deshaun Watson-The #1 Dual threat QB in the nation for the class of 2014...he enrolled early in January and is already on campus.

I don't see Brewer going to Clemson and getting much of a shot...

When I did mine, the instructions I followed suggested using some special coating, but the stuff would have cost about $150 to coat the entire board. It's some thick substance similar to polyurethane that gives it that glossy coat without making it too slick. I just used spray paint on mine and sanded it as smooth as I could. As VPIhokieME said, the first several uses, the board was tacky but it broke in nicely. One of the best investments I made with those things was a set of LED lights for the hole. Now I can play before and after the Thursday night games.

oh man maybe its how we need to start out strong, no more opening week struggles, granted its against good talent I think in the past 3-5 years VT has come out in the first few weeks really slow and it takes us until our ACC schedule to get going.

There's nothing more I would love to see than a convincing win against OSU, not a 3 point or OT win but a 14 or even a 10 point win. Can't wait for Spring to start I have no idea what to do until it does, maybe ill think of things I can do with a brick.

I think he can play as well. He had a terrific game on ESPN. The problem with all three guys is they are all probably best suited to play flanker, and flanker is where you have Byrn and Knowles. All three probably need to get stronger as well. Somebody is going to sit. I left Bradshaw out because, besides the ESPN game, he doesn't have any film out there to evaluate, so I am going on one game and Coach Stinespring's comments.

What makes this picture even more impressive is that this guy is taller than Bucky Hodges...he is 8 feet tall and 750lbs....
