# | Bitter blog - NFL Network's Mike Mayock calls Hokies CB Kyle Fuller a 'first-round talent' I've been resisting bringing up TWD the entire time I've been reading this thread, so thank you for doing it for me! I would disagree about this season being good though. The ...what? Half season finale? was good, but I wasn't too impressed with any of the episodes before that one. I do like where they are going with things now though, and I enjoyed the latest episode, so I have high hopes for the end of the season
Ya'll are wrong. This was by far one of loudest games ever at Lane Stadium on a Thursday night. People were so smashed that it literally sounded the loudest the stadium can get for at least 5 straight minutes into the game...
Close second is Miami 2003 on Saturday night
I'm just glad UVA didn't completely ruin it for us by wearing Orange last night like Miami did with their black uniforms on Blackout night. We'll figure out how these effect games work someday.
Hey Mike Mayock

I agree with his opinion completely
I believe that was the great Ron Franklin on the call and not Fowler.
If we're talking memorable night games, this one has to be included. I'll never forget it even though it turned out to be no game at all. There was so much energy in the stadium, the teams were lined up for the opening kickoff and then...
Great show! I heard it's just a mini series, one season kind of deal though. Sunday's episode was great and definitely got the ball rolling. I just love hbo - Sopranos (the greatest show ever), the Wire, Entourage, GoT are some of my favorite series ever, along with others like Curb.
We should just have a weekly thread for TV shows. House of Cards is killing it right now, so fucking good! And Walking Dead of course. I like Shameless a lot too, despite the trashiness and cheap thrills, there actually is some substance there as opposed to Showtime's other hit series Californication. I'm a series junkie, I stream series online non stop ha
I'm friends with one of McClease's cousins and I think he's pretty high on us. I'm keeping my ear close to that situation.
The old police chief had a plan. As long as people where just celebrating and having fun he would eat the overtime for his officers. Once anything destructive happened, he moved in and shut things down. Good plan.
I'd agree to this list for the most part, but I would also put Frank in at #10 (I am treating him as a Special Teams Assistant Coach here). Special Teams have been lacking lately and need an overhaul.
Yes, he basically left his office and the feedback he gave Weaver and Co. in his exit interview led to Greenberg getting the boot and he came right back.
walking dead has been so good this season. last sunday was tense!
i remember a mob walking down college ave (i think) with a section of the post. traffic was completely stopped, cars were blaring their horns, people were just everywhere, the cops were just letting it happen. i remember thinking to myself, "this place is awesome."
After the game I was walking on the drillfield with my dad and brother and about 15 students came up to us holding half a goal post so we could touch it. I think I was 7 at the time and my brother was 5. One of my favorite Tech football memories.
i dont know how it didnt pour rain on us during that game, i just remember looking at the radar and it was raining everywhere but blacksburg
I don't think it needs to be replaced, but some more Hokiestone would look good outside. Maybe even some burrus-style towers on either side of the main entrance. (like they did with the west side of lane).
Then a refresh of the seating bowl that creates a lower courtside tier for students, set low enough that if they stand the whole game the crowd behind them can see while seated. Only needs to be 10-15 rows, and can even be limited to one half of the court (wrapping around the home baseline)
I think the best idea is to build an actual moat around the stadium with a drawbridge that lets you get across only if you have Tech colors on.
Two "Big Ass Fans"
I was hanging from the crossbar when the first goalpost fell. Great memories.
Care to support your position with some actual facts? Just saying "no, his arm was weak" makes for a pretty poor discussion. Glennon made lots of good throws. Sure, a supporting cast always makes the QB look good, but Royal wasn't the only reason Glennon was a 4*. Guy had some skills and made plenty of excellent throws for VT. Plenty of mistakes, too, but I agree with the O-line argument. He was constantly under pressure.
Every night game, even the ones we lost, were amazing. I've been to other stadiums at night (granted not LSU or Bama), but Lane is ridiculous at night.
If I were to pick one, the Miami 2003 game. They were ranked pretty high. We beat them soundly. After the game, Main Street Blacksburg was WILD!
DOWNTOWN!
Who knows what would have happened that game if Byron Leftwich could actually be mobile? He still put up like 500 yards through the air.
I thought they just added the big fan on the ceiling a few years back didn't they? What more could you possibly want?

Fuller to my Steelers would be awesome. We definitely need some new young corners with Ike getting up there, and Kyle is just like Ike. Both are very good tacklers who can hang with anyone in coverage.
