Takes me 15 minutes from when I decide to leave my apartment to get until I sit at my desk. The drive is around 5-8 minutes depending on whether someone in front of my gate forgot their badge.
Yeah, but how often is there ever going to be the Great Blizzard of 2018 and the Even Greater Blizzard of 2018 and the Dear God Why is This Still Happening to Us Blizzard of 2018.
Hurricanes make sense to me. They are these MASSIVE storms that cause billions, upon billions, in damages over a huge area. These things are tracked for weeks before they are even going to impact any part of the mainland as they usually form around Africa. That and there are multiple cyclones forming at the same time. The easiest way for the public to keep up is by naming them something easy to remember. That way I know that Hurricane Jimbo is just outside the Bahamas and Tropical Depression Joker is starting to pick up steam crossing the Atlantic.
However, these winter storms go from forming to gone with the wind in a few days.

Well..I have to admit that's actually a pretty good reason for the names. I still think it's a bit silly, but it actually kind of makes sense. The two biggest snow storms I've been a part of were the Blizzard of '93 and, what I've been calling, the big snow of Christmas '09
it was this year, and they're trying to do it to help classify and organize the storms so that they don't have to be like OH THE GREAT SNOW OF 1999 anymore when referring to research...but yes I think its dumb too

i certainly think naming snow storms is outrageous...soon we're going to have names for thunderstorms...then we'll be naming rainy days...before we know it we'll have a name for any time the temperature changes more than 4 degrees in less than 12 hours

However, what are VT's defined variances? There are none. Which is why when the defense does something unexpected, we have 4 players standing around, with 1 guy trying to create his own shot.

And I agree, I think saying we don't is kind of a ridiculous criticism. A) because we do (albeit not well) and B) because even really good teams, on average, only score about 20% of their points through "plays." The majority of points are scored in transition or after the play breaks down.

Princeton, with not-so-good athletes, is a much better basketball team than VT because they have coaching that demands and reinforces things on offense.
The whole running "sets" vs "no sets" vs "plays" vs "no plays" is not the point - - the point is that the offense has not done well for the last several years and will not get better with this current staff.
Back to Princeton...they damn near beat Kentucky in the 2nd round of the 2011 tournament using back door cuts , effective screens, and organized offense. This was wiith a roster full of recruits never ranked higher than a "2-star", with most players being not-rated.

haha yup! I eat lunch everyday in the cafeteria at the lab, and it's subsidized so the food is cheap, and it's delicious! I had some oysters and shrimp yesterday.
