I resisted Twitter for so long. Tonight I gave in. If Bud's there, I have to be. I followed TKP/Joe first, then Bud, and it's spiraled out of control over the last two hours or so.

Remind me again why we existing members of the ACC were supposed to be alright with ND continuing to benefit as a football independent?

The article was titled best, not oldest or most recognized. If we can't think of ourselves as among the best then who will?

Can start by selling out all games at all the venues.

5'11 176 lb corner Ashton White (Friendship Academy in Washington DC) has arrived in Blacksburg. White, rated as a high three star by Rivals, committed to Virginia Tech in December.

He is also an Aaron Moorehead target (with support from Torrian Gray.)

serious question, don't we have a rule against taking kids who didn't qualify out of high school now?

Not true, Joe. I was born one day, but it wasn't yesterday! There's no way his mother and I would ever believe that he attended EVERY SINGLE CLASS during his four years there--we're simply not that naive. (However, we are OK with not knowing exactly WHY he didn't make it to those classes!) We may think Brian's an angel, but he's certainly no saint ("Michael" reference here)--he has too much of his father in him.

Brian's Dad

P.S. If we're ever at the same game, Joe, please come by our tailgate. We'd both love to meet you!

P.S. It's not just go to class. You must study and understand that that ultimately is why you will be at this institution of higher learning. Don't leave college without truly having an education - meaning useful knowledge in your head that you took the time and effort to put there. That aside, don't forget to kick some arse. Go Hokies!

It isn't??? Who keeps sending me all those Philly pinups?

Personally, I'd prefer that CFB continues to stand on his principles and not kiss the collective butts of a group of people who apparently want to hurt the Tech football program as much as possible.

If this group was really performing a mentor role and looking out for the best interests of the kids in their "program", they would ensure that EVERY FBS/FCS coach willing to offer a scholarship was given EQUAL access to their kids. The steering they're doing to UVA based on their personal and ongoing relationships with Mike London and Chip West is total bull. That "steering" and bad-mouthing of the Tech program was going on long before CFB wrote his latest book - so who really fired the first shot in this war?

When London goes, and that will probably happen at the end of next season, what are the chances that UVA will hire another coach who caters to the 757 to the detriment of the rest of Virginia? When that happens, who will the Breds turn to then?

One more point - Tech has already extended 73 offers to recruits for 2015 and has two verbals so far. Do you think they're letting the Breds intimidate them? LOL - not on your life.

If @HorseOnATreadmill were available I'd sign up.

I'd love to see this more than just about anything. We've loaded up on Big Ten teams for the next forever and I'd rather generate rivalries with SEC teams. Having said that, besides the Bees, FSU, and Clemson, I don't think there are any other good natural rivalries, so I'd think we should rotate everyone else.

Any ACC team should want to play Auburn. This is hard to believe, but Auburn has not won a football game at a non-conference team's home field since they beat the Yahoos in Charlottesville in 1997. That was in the previous century. What makes this worse is they have only played 6 games on a non-conference team's home field during that time. They usually schedule 4 home games each year with non-conference teams, so they wind up playing only 4 away games a year and those are required SEC games. They wil play at Kansas State this year to try and break their 16 year drought. Bring this up to an Auburn fan and they can't believe it.
