oh also! typically when a storm moves up the coast like that, or near it we tend to have much larger snow events, the reason the low pressure system takes so long to move to Louisiana is due to the high north of texas, it kind of traps it in there for a few days. As far as temperatures go, that cold front up yonder in Canada looks like it might sweep down as well.
Saban does what he needs to do to win. Thing is, he can pick and choose who he wants on his team because it's already set for the next 3-4 years. VT doesn't have that luxury.
How do you know everyone was a stand-up person, though? We had more players dismissed from the team throughout that era than we've had recently.
That was also before the new age of technology in recruiting. Now that we can actually see the attitudes of the players in their day-to-day lives, I think the perception of who's good and who's bad plays a little too much into people's reactions to recruit decisions.
Think Saban would put up with a PD? He is all about team and efficiency. You don't do your job right and you don't play.
That's a beautiful dream. Too good to B true . It had to be a dream. But in college football, miracles do happen , like Auburn experienced last year. Next year could be our miracle year. anything can happen. I do know that we have the foundation for your dream to come true with some hard work.
Why does this thread exist? Do we really want to spread the news of this headline? The story is BS anyway but why even link to it?
I just got really excited at the thought of a Durkin, Rogers, Marshawn Williams/Trey Edmunds backfield. It gave me goose bumps.
See...I don't think we have to. We were there before without it, but lost after losing a few key players in the game.
We can get there again, and win it.
I'm guessing you're either a terrible odds maker or have a source that has already confirmed Leal is the starter. Bet the minimum on every QB except Leal, and then we've got a hell of a good chance to make a lot of money.
Nonetheless, I like the odds. I'm still going to put my money on Ford, and I think my odds look like this:
Leal 3:2
Ford 3:2
Motley 3:1
Durkin 15:1
Hodges 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,001 to 1
Unless it has changed, they are banned

Or for that matter FSU. Sure they had a fantastic foundation, but Jameis Winston lit it up.
I agree with this sentiment expressed by Stinespring.
There are no concerns whatsoever about any organization thats geared towards helping young people gain opportunities and work on their skill set, Stinespring wrote in an e-mail. The concern here is in recruiting. When people have the opportunity to influence and theres no accountability to what they say or do, thats a tremendous concern.
If the leadership of such organizations are steering kids away from your school and won't deal with you honestly there is a problem. Are they looking out for the kids best interests? Are they interfering with fair recruiting?
Another thing: While the 757 has produced a lot of "stars" lately have they actually done anything on the field? Are the stars a result of exposure through the breds or are they any good at all?
Has Leal graduated (or will he this spring)? i'm curious if he would stick around for his 5th year if the writing is one the wall coming out of spring. if he has his degree, he is free to transfer to another school without sitting out a year, correct?
i'm not saying the writing will be on the wall, for all i know, Leal will show up and blow the coaches away in spring practices. i was just curious where his mind might be if he determines he'll never be our starting QB. that can't be easy.

I'm not accusing UVA of cheating. I think the whole industry is questionable, but that's separate. vtphoenix is saying that many feel winning a NC is all that matters, even if you have to cheat. I was responding to the thought that anyone who has to cheat doesn't deserve it.
It's clear you don't stand behind Beamer, but IMHO the hyperbole and extrapolations you are making are getting ridiculous. Do you have inside knowledge of every decision he's made on this or any other topic? If you do, please share. I'll go back to his book and check myself, but as I recall, Beamer is fairly diplomatic on this topic and expresses concern for the well-being of players who are pressured or exposed to undue influence by paid coaches. Concern is not condemnation. We don't know what's going on behind closed doors.
EDIT: clarified what I was trying to say and not sound like I was bashing vtphoenix.

Eventually we are going to have to put aside the "I don't want anyone like that on our team" excuse if we ever expect to win a national championship, unfortunately.
He said that Ford has significant arm strength issues, just thought I would clear that up. I would agree with you that I would prefer accuracy over arm strength, and am hence leaning towards Ford. I think it helps that he has enrolled early and will have an entire spring to work on learning the playbook as well as route running with receivers.
Unfortunately, I think Durkin won't be redshirted. One of the main reasons he chose VT over Michigan State was the promise of the possibility to play early. I believe redshirting would help him work on his throwing mechanics with Lefty and could prepare him for a qb battle against Ford the next year.
At the end of the day competition is a good thing. As long as the best player wins, and it isn't based on seniority I will support whoever comes under center for the hokies next year.
Turkey Leg for the Inception reference
Don't think so. As long as they're not charging for it, it'd be like just another VT prospect camp.
Upvote to even you out. Some people don't know how those arrows are supposed to work. It's a perfectly valid observation, which is very sad to admit.
Yeahhh......and then we set ourselves up in a little town and fortified it.
And people started calling me 'The Governor' and I kinda liked it.
So then some other people took over a nearby prison.......
I actually lost my totem some time ago, so I haven't been real sure what is a dream and what is reality, but I'm starting to suspect that what you dreamed was real and what I'm experiencing now is a dream. Can't wait to read all about it on the real TKP! Luckily, I had the presence of mind to dream up some train tracks right outside of my apartment...
