Kids pay money for private coaching and training in every HS sport today, football, baseball, basketball...even tennis as mentioned upthread. This has been going on for a really long time, it's gotten to the point where if you have D1 aspirations in pretty much any sport, professional coaching and training outside of the school system that you pay for is part of your life.

This guy was there so I am now confident
How does Ford compare to Harrison. Is he a good replacement? Better?
Thank God. We couldn't afFORD to lose him today.
And for the record, I have generally not been a fan of NFL on Thursday nights, outside of week 1 and Thanksgiving. Only gives you two days to set a fantasy lineup.
First impression yes, until you watch him at QB. He is a STUD. Guns it 50+ yards and lightning fast at 6-0 200.

Seems like we've been waiting for Ford 500 hours
One rumor I heard was that ESPN might try to get the NFL Thursday night package for ABC. That would have been a slap in the face to college fans.
I'm curious to see more about this deal, though. Typically, the NFL doesn't schedule any games other than Sunday in week 17, to give them maximum flexibility, and also to keep everyone on a relatively even playing field going into the playoffs (in theory). So, 16 weeks. But, week 1 and Thanksgiving are already claimed by NBC. Plus, Christmas is a Thursday this year, and the NFL usually avoid Christmas Day unless it's a Sunday, in which they put one really late game on.
That leaves 13 or 14 weeks. I'm betting the way the article was not worded properly, and there are 16 games on Thursday and Saturday combined.
But with only 8 games, CBS would only have to delay their Thursday night lineup to November (most of which probably wouldn't normally start until the last week of September), which would then give them longer original runs in the second half of the season.
I understand. I'm not exactly jumping off the walls because of this class, but I'm not disappointed by it. Sure it sucks to miss on a couple but that's going to happen every year at ever school. I'm sure even 'Bama missed on a couple. That's how it works. I know you're disappointed...I think probably several people here are to some degree. You just came across as REALLY disappointed. NBD, we're all friends here :)
And the 5-inch difference in height.

thank god there was a little minor panic after seeing uf contact him near the end

# | Read and React: "National Signing Day: Cavs' Mike London looks beyond high school coaches to cultivate Virginia Beach pipeline" What is the difference between 7on7 and summer camps? I know a lot of these kids go to private camps to work on their skills. Parents are paying for their kids to go there and they most certainly have an opinion on certain schools that these kids probably hear at one point.
Sigh of relief.

I think he's waiting for his official announcement coming momentarily.
EDIT: Beat me to it by 20 sec. Well done.
This is what other teams' fans will be saying:
