The drama only gets better. Obviously there is nothing official out yet, but the word is that Wood is out the door next year so hopefully JJ retracts his stance on getting a big man in this class otherwise it will be another short bench next year. He really does need to win at least 3 or 4 more games this season otherwise I think the new AD puts his stamp on the program and they go get someone new outside the program. JJ has a great personality and was an excellent assistant so it is tough to see him with the situation that was given to him. His current staff is pretty subpar so getting a new coach with a new staff could help this program move forward.

Uh... how exactly is this the fault of the athletic department? LSU has the highest paid staff in ALL of college football. More than likely it's a situation that was out of the athletic department's control.
I can't even argue with any of this except for 1.
Because I love the Redskins, but man they're a terrible franchise right now.

VT can't offer the kind of money he's getting from LSU, if the reports of him making around $400-$450K are correct.
Also, he's going to a program that has a much better chance of winning a title in the next 3-5 years.
Well, VT could have offered more money. I think that's the point.
There's no blame - he got an offer to work for a better program for much more money. What could VT have done here?

This is a situation where I want to be pissed off and place the blame on Grimes, but the blame should be placed on our athletic department for letting this happen.
This upsets me inordinately. I imagine we can hire someone good for the job, but I was really impressed with how quickly Grimes got our O-line functioning at a much higher level than we had seen in recent years. He was also doing great recruiting for us.
Now it is up to Beamer and the other coaches to reassure the recruits that they are still going to fit into the system, and most importantly, to find the next OL coach, who will also have to quickly reach out to these guys to make them feel good about staying with VT. The OL recruits are really exciting and I truly hope they stick with VT.

Joe, Great site. I like the changes that you've been implementing. One thing that might be useful (especially for newbies and those of us that might be technically challenged) is a FAQ/Help section. It would give you a dedicated area to answer some of the repeat questions (How do I embed a jpg again?) and a consistent place to publish some of navigation tips you've recently updated and include things that are currently buried in individual thread (e.g. Mascot Mock FAQ)

I was thinking they might all be bummed about the Celtics trading Jordan Crawford.
All I know is that the ACC is holding the Maryland payouts to recoup at least a portion of the 52 million fee. That is partially what the lawsuit is about. The ACC is holding payout money that Maryland earned as part of the ACC while still a member. The ACC argument is that if we give you this money, we will never see it back.
The Lawyers never lose. Hell, they even manage to win when they're losing.

The parking sucks. I understand all places have horrible (or so) parking, but even after a concert at Fed Ex, the parking lots suck.
