Understatement of the year, man.
A blowout win in a bowl game the previous year shouldn't matter next year. If they're trying to improve their image, it's their prerogative, but it's still ultimately pointless. They were going to win, they will still win, and next year everything starts over.
I don't think Mora called this. I think the players went and did it and the fact that Hundley isn't going back in is enough of an indicator to me that Mora doesn't want that to happen again. I like Mora and don't think that was his intent.
I recognize this team isn't very good right now either. But I lose respect for someone when they ignore the reasons behind it, and also ignore the improvement taking place to make the Hokies less of a "piss ass" team.

This game really ended when Leal threw the ill-advised pick-6. Nothing since then has been consequential.

Never said I don't enjoy Hokie football, I said I'd like to start demanding a better football team. 21 straight bowls doesn't mean anything to me if ZERO of them are national championship wins. Stop using that as a basis for the argument of a good team, because its mediocre. Great, we go at least .500 year after year. La di da. Improvement this season? 7-6 to 8-5. Good job. VT fans do nothing but look to the future, because we never win in the here and now. This really sucks. People who didn't watch the game are only going to see this horrible score and really look down on us.
Next year? Doubtful. For me, 2015 and 2016 are better bets to return to the top. Too much turnover next year, especially losing a lot of key seniors.

My improvement was referring to the staff bringing in new schemes and new talent. I admit this team isn't very good, and the previous staff did a poor job managing for the future, especially with recruiting. But I see improvement, and you're right, I'm going to be positive about it.
Do I want us to go 13-0 every single year? Of course I do. But I'm going to be realistic while also being optimistic.
