As the Recruiting Coordinator, Stiney is the guy most responsible for selling CFB on the recruiting system we implemented this year. Yes, ALL of the other coaches were allies in helping to sell the system to CFB, something Recruiting Coordinators in the past have not enjoyed, but it was sold and Stiney hit the ground running. I've personally never seen Tech's recruiting activities as massively active as they've been this year. Not only are we still in high gear with more than a month to go before Signing Day, we have also extended 60+ offers to 2015 recruits, getting verbals from two so far.

The new system consists of EVERY coach recruiting hard, more than one coach visiting each recruit, 4+ junior days, tons of recruits (and sometimes their parents) being present at EVERY home game, and CFB making personal appearances at the games of top recruits. Stiney's name isn't listed as primary or secondary recruiter on every recruit, but you can bet they know who he is, and so do their parents.

If you don't think being the Recruiting Coordinator doesn't take a TON of work, then I don't know what to tell you.

I dont need credentials. Im susbscribed to rivals. They tell you mostly what coaches were responsible in the articles. Obviously i cant sit here and post that stuff on here or ill lose my subscription. But like i said stinespring is a very good recruitor but most of the top kids we got this yr really didnt have to do with stinespring. The new coaches have come in here and really spread the recruiting area out and have done a wonderful job developing relationships with the recruits

James Anderson is still killing it. Hard to believe that out of Vince Hall, Xavier Adibi, and Anderson that it is James Anderson that has had (by far) the largest impact in the NFL.

And why should I take your personal statement for anything worthwhile?
Do you have credentials or authority that I don't know about?
It just seems kind of rough to straight downplay our new recruiting coordinators role in the new success of our recruiting efforts

I will personally let you know that most of the guys we got this yr had nothing to do with stinespring altho he is a very good recruiter. Lots of these recruits came from Grimes, SL, Foster, and Moorehead. Moorehead has done an amazing job with some of the top recruits we have. They relate to him very well. Shane is also a good recruiter as well.

The only players from that list that still play that I know of is Montgomery, Hall, and Jeff King. The 2014 Class at VT is already more loaded to me than that class was at VT. We have much more balance in this yrs class than any class I can remember at Vt

Glad everyone likes the updates. More good things to come (especially on the free content front).

one day soon it'll just start working

Ladies and gentlemen, UVA's vision for their football program.

Reach out to Hans at hans@chickentales.com. He gets the Bus Stop Hokie viewing parties set up, pumps them up with a pregame email. He is a nut, and tell him Will said he can't hold his beer.

G Hokies

I am using new css3 effects to do the blurring. From what I've read it's supposed to be supported in Firefox 25, but isn't working for me in FF 26 on OS X. Firefox and Chrome are updated regularly, so my guess is if you have automatic updates going one day soon it'll just start working.

Too bad you won't be a bit farther south near San Jose or you could crash my parent's New Year's party.

Merry Christmas guys.

Much love and peace to anyone not affiliated with UVA.

Ok fine, Hoos too!

Merry Christmas fellow hokies

This is extremely well-done. I mean really, this was impressive. There were a couple "reaches" but others are priceless.

"Knowing that ManBearPig soon would be there"
Referring to Foster as "St. Bud"
"Little elf Shane" - this was the LOL that woke up my gf.

Again, just hilarious. Very creative. Awesome work!
