If a newspaper slanders me and I threaten litigation to which we settle out of court it still means that I went through the legal process of using court to my advantage. Specifically the threat of court. However, whether my wording was incorrect or not does not equate to the fact that your understanding of what actually happened is entirely wrong.
You have provided no factual evidence that Miami used the media and ESPN to argue their case against the NCAA. In fact, all the articles I listed specifically states that Miami used the threat of court to impose on the NCAA that their self-sanctioning was enough punishment. Due to that threat and the fact that they bungled the case the NCAA gave Miami only an additional slap on the wrist. Therefore Miami used the court to get what they want.
What you are claiming is plain and simply wrong. Please stop making things up.
I am not disagreeing with that premise. However, it's not a tautology. You're generalizing, and making a logical conclusion that a generalization is going to help us land a specific recruit. That doesn't make sense to me.

You didn't word it poorly, you worded it incorrectly. Poorly would mean you were right when you said Miami went to court and didn't accept sanctions when they never went to court and accepted their sanctions without incident. Miami used the power of media pressure and let ESPN et al. argue that the NCAA should give Miami a pass for cheating their asses off.
Coming from an Eagles fan its hard to watch him play sometimes, he has some work to do. But I know he can make it, hes got the drive and determination to be great in The League. I hope they hold onto him.
Having friends and family at games is a big deal for a lot of guys, and travelling costs are expensive for families. Knowing a few guys on campus is important for some as well. Adjusting to big-time college football can be rough without support.
A little piece of me dies inside every time I think about Tyrod in the NFL. I just wanna see him get a shot to play.
The game against Miami would worry me though. Tyrod was fantastic but Logan was on fire that game. When he's on I don't know if I've ever seen a better quarterback at Tech.
I do like the fact that Louisville is starting up the ACC-SEC in-state battle for Thanksgiving weekend beginning next year. That should give one ACC virtual lock win every year. With the rise of FSU and Clemson (although they lost this year to USC), maybe the ACC can eventually tip the scales on the ACC-SEC in-season matchups.

I'm glad to hear this, but I think we introduce another problem. While I do like rivalries, I don't think we have balance in the league with rivalries. For example, one could rightly say that Miami has rivalries that should be maintained with FSU and VT. VT has another rival in UVA. UVA has VT and UNC. But who does Louisville have? Boston College? Sure, most teams have at least one natural rival (UNC/NCST) but some don't really have much of a rivalry with anyone (Wake, Louisville). We're gonna have to force some rivalries at some point.
