This wasn't the foul, evil woman that gave David mono after the Georgia Tech game in 2010 was it? Because if it is we need her name and address.

That's a pretty nice stat, though having the most interceptions when nothing really comes of them, is just a little disappointing.

Apparently none of you remember when McShay picked VT to beat Stanford in the 2011 Orange Bowl. This means one or both of the following:

1. We are putting too much stock in what talking heads say about our team. When they pick us, we are happy. When they pick against us, we scream about the lack of respect. In the end, the game is played on the field and nothing these guys say matter.
2. McShay has a history of being wrong and it is our job to continue that trend.

I will leave you with this: my favorite part of the NFL draft is watching McShay vs. Mel Kiper vs. Mel Kiper's hair. I do think we need to get them all in the ring and let them finally declare a winner:

I'll always remember him for the interception against Miami in 1995. Fortunately that was before instant replay.....

Thinking back it was the Kroger on Main Street! Back when the liquor store was still in the parking lot.

I wouldn't go as far as to say our D will give Hundley fits. Did you see Maryland's Qb run all over this D @ Lane. It was one of the more perplexing things to watch as a fan, seemed like we couldn't figure out how to stop him and I don't think its too far of a stretch to say Hundley is much better.

Yep, 0-3, Stanford with Luck, USC with Reggie Bush and Leinart when they were #1, and one loss to Cal in a game that had over 100 combined points (if memory serves correctly). Only one of those was a game we were favored in (Cal).

They had to nix it, as the only way to make a trophy in his likeness would have been to use Rogersium.

The Feds denied the use of this rare substance in this manner, as their scientists determined that Rogersium is infinitely dense, and collecting enough in one place for the casting process would result in a high probability of turning into a black hole large enough to swallow half the eastern seaboard (for an idea of the scale, this is roughly the size of Mike London's ego), before collapsing into a new parallel universe whose fundamental building block is all the Rogersium previously existing in our universe.

None of this is all that surprising to those of us in the know. The surprising part was that none of this was the actual reason.

Here is the part that the press won't tell you: The permanent loss of this precious matter to the new Rogersverse was unacceptable to our congress-critters, who use a very weak dilution of Rogersium as a sort of super-Viagra.

I was in the same public speaking class as Jeff King. He was very humble, kept talking about how he could use his degree if the NFL didn't work out. Every time, I would think c'mon dude, you don't have to worry about that.

Senior year (fall 05), when we were going to Boston Beanery for a HT senior staff meeting, the waitress kept whispering to us as she took us to our table that Bryan Randall was sitting around the corner.

Be that as it may, I don't expect every person that did not go to VT (or hell, even did go for that matter) to be as diehard as folks like us that actively seek out Hokie blogs.

If anything, it was a WEAk question to post to a mailblog. Telling me that HD didn't get anything with a little more substance to answer out of the tens of e-mails I am sure that fine journalistic piece receives.

Yes, He is a State Farm agent on South Main Street across from Bank of America.

Martin's BBQ Waffle Chips are awesome!!!! They taste like they were "marinated" for 2 days before they are fried. Went on the factory tour once and got them fresh out of the fryer.

Umm....I didn't go to VT either but I'm just as much as a fan as everyone else....

Is Brandon still an insurance agent in town?

did I understand correctly that Brandon's mom is Frank's sister?

Did Heather get to the more pressing question of whether da U is back next year?

Krogers is going to be pissed!

I can see Nick as a good coach given his experience at many positions and time in the NFL. Add another to the list!

After reading the letter, its not clear if she herself went to VT. I know she says "our beloved Hokies", but only mentions her husband going there.

I know that I bend my wife to my will in regards to which teams she can and can not root for (still can't get her to stop saying Boomer Sooner though).

can someone enlighten me on this? if he has already graduated, why can UF block his transfer?

In fairness to the good people at Plainscapital Bank Heart, I believe the official name may be the Heart of Dallas Bowl Presented by Plainscapital Bank. A certain intrepid young reporter...blogger...dude full of shit may have taken a principled stand against writing "Presented by" for any bowl. Or he's lazy as hell, that has yet to be disproved.
