Nope. Their commercials are obnoxious and I have this weird thing where I refuse to buy products if their commercials annoy me.

Hence, I can never buy another used car again...

Haha, they do, it's called Chex and it's on the cereal aisle.

PS. It is awful :o)

Outstanding, as always. I saw this pop up on my RSS feed and I knew it was going to be a good day.

It's the Mack Brown farewell tour. Texas will also be playing its spring game against the Texas State Fightin Armadillos.

UF QB Tyler Murphy is transferring as well. He was a Lefty recruit in 2010 and can play right away in 2014 because he's already graduated (1 more year of eligibility).

2013 stat line: in 6 starts - 112/185 passing (60.5%), 1216 yards, 6 TD/5 INT, 61 carries for 61 yards and 3 TD.

I'm no QB evaluator, but it looks like he played fairly well in his first three games (Tennessee, Kentucky and Arkansas) and poorly in his last four (LSU, Mizzou, Georgia, Vandy). He sprained the AC joint in his throwing shoulder vs LSU and played with it until being shut down after the Vandy game. His sister voiced some displeasure on Twitter about UF supposedly trying to cover up the injury.

Worth a look?

no down votes for opinions. here's a leg to balance you out. (even though you are wrong, haha)

Are you insane? Too much chex in chex mix? The chex is the best part, everything else gets in the way. The pretzels are tolerable but the bagel chips and weird breadstick things get thrown out my car window.

I think they make chex mix that is all chex and it is glorious.

That's what I was speculating with regards to Marshall. If he can be the player we think he can be (same goes for Ekanem), then that is a solid starting DE combo so Dadi can just come in and be the player maker role. Having Dadi and Harley on the field at the same time would probably drive opposing OLs nuts. Their motors are relentless and would be amazing to watch.

Looking at Defensive stats is difficult since the NFL did not treat tackles as an official stat until 2001.

The best game of the season for me was Marshall. I was in Lane with my 7 year-old son until the victorious end. As the crowd got thinner and the field got messier, the game went from goodto greatto epic. The blocked punt returned for a TD, the AJ Hughes power run for a first down, and, to be fair, the ability of Rakeem Cato to somehow convert on third down time after time, all made for some excellent football.

The best moment of the game (and season) for me was the blocked field goal in the first overtime. I remember standing there thinking, my kid is yelling his lungs out and I am too, and after almost 3 hours of this soaking wet, windy, awful mess, we are about to see our team lose to freaking Marshall. For a split-second I thought, we can watch the kick as we walk down the stairs in order to get a head start on our departure. Then I self-corrected and said, what an idiot I would be to do that. We are going to block the field goal and win this. Believe. And we did.

The best moment of the day was after the game had ended, walking down the East Stands exit ramp, hearing my son tell me That was AWESOME and realizing that he will remember this day for the rest of his life.

Glad to see Grown men holding grudges. Luckily, there are quite a few talented FB programs down in the 757 and the Peninsula is Hokie (Hpt, Phoebus, Bethel, etc.). Some schools on the Southside are too. Smith isn't. It is what it is.

The OS athletic director (the one responsible for getting them on ESPN each year) is in my FFL and posted a picture with Tiki Barber last week. Has a big dislike for anything VT. Complains that VT hasn't been "straight" with a lot of the kids and brings up the Greg Boone QB tryout story.

Ideally VT would repair these relationships, because the 757 pipeline has been the bread and butter of Tech football IMO. Now that the area has been "discovered" a lot kids are headed to LOLUVA or out-of-state.

Having the last visit is very BIG for Tech.

From Gatorbait:

Floridas wide receivers coach Joker Phillips has been working on Virginia Tech commit Javon Harrison since he arrived in Gainesville last offseason. The Gators have never been able to get over the hump with Harrison despite his many visits to Gainesville. Even after the Kathleen High standouts official visit to UF this past weekend, Harrison still has Florida trailing Virginia Tech and Florida State. Prognosis: Floridas proximity to home does not seem to be enough right now to overcome people close to Harrison who are helping him with this decision. Virginia Tech assistant Torrian Gray is a Kathleen alum and one they trust, while Florida State seems to be where their fandom is at. Maybe January brings momentum for Florida, but nothing in the past indicates that it will.

WR's have to be Carroll Dale, Antonio Freeman, and Eddit Royal, in that order.

Cornell Brown was a very effective, Super Bowl-winning spot-duty outside linebacker with the Ravens.

Don't downvote me but I think my favorite moment was when they did the Horse on a Treadmill commercials at the Maryland game. It was just fun, I completely forgot that I was stressed the hell out over the game and I was wearing my TKP shirt as well. Also up there was completely shutting down Amari Cooper after getting into it on twitter with some dumb Bama fans, #punterswag vs. Miami and the Kyshoen hit vs. Pitt.

Best game for me was a toss-up between Gah Tech and Miami. Everything went right in the Miami game and after the first ten minutes, everything went Tech's way. I was actually able to just sit back, relax and laugh about how awesome it was. That said, I megaloathe Gah Tech and beating them, particularly with Kyle Fuller's performance, was fantastic. Marshall would've been up there if it wasn't effing Marshall...

I'm absolutely pleased. He deserved it and the ACC needed this. The ACC needed there to be a top team and a top player. And so did we. I mean, think about it... Everytime we're ranked they say, "Who did Virginia Tech play? Why do they deserve this?" Well, throw us in with a Florida State and Clemson (maybe Duke) and us upset them? Think how good that'd be for us? National Implications to the extreme. So yeah, I'm ALL FOR Jameis Winston getting Heisman.

Plus, I'm extremely anti-SEC.
