What I think about most E$PN predictions
As of the practice Wednesday Rankin wasn't in attendance.
I never really thought Saban jumped around that much. Not any more than any other coach looking for a better opportunity. All of his moves have been upgrades compared to where he currently was.
If we just look at him once he became a head coach at the Div IA level (my argument is that every move prior to this is to get to a HC gig):
Leaves Michigan State for LSU (upgrade)
Leaves LSU for Miami Dolphins (upgrade it's the NFL and there was potential there)
Leaves Dolphins for Alabama (learns he can't yell at/control millionaires like he can with kids)
I guess my point is, I do not think we can use the "he gets bored" argument since all of his moves have been made to help him advance. Now that he is at the pinnacle of college football, maybe he is bored now...but not prior.
im really hoping that Battle of Bristol will be incentive to stay their senior seasons. as well as 2016 being our best chance at a national championship run
I think i preferred Kenny G at QB. Too bad he is a senior. I think Braxton will stay. The CB Roby is leaving early.
Whats interesting about this story is the other side of commitments and recruiting that it shows.
As an example, I know as Hokies we were disappointed when a guy like Andrew Brown or Blanding choose to go to UVA. But what does it say about a recruit if he is willing to jump ship at the first sign of adversity? Now maybe these guys just wern't going to play, but who knows. I think good on kids that make that commitment and then don't back out just because of a rough year. Florida was 11-2 last year with a Sugar Bowl appearance for crying out loud.
Hopefully going against Anthony Barr in the bowl game will be a good learning curve for dealing with Shazier if he comes back.
He won't be visiting until January 24th so he probably won't decide until Signing Day.
I don't believe he has practiced with the team since fall camps. He pretty much is around for the games and that's about it. I see him here and there though, so maybe he is getting closer to coming back, but at this point, I'd say he doesn't play at all this year and just redshirts.
I think the USC Upstate game was a jitter game for a lot of the players and especially Adam. He sat on the bench last year, but it's a whole different ballgame coming through that tunnel suited up and ready to play, especially after he has been working so hard to be a top guy for this team. I think he is a lot more locked on now and will definitely develop.
*Note on RB: he ended up at UAB following former tech assistants Rob Ehsan (who I'm pretty sure recruited him and he had the most connection with) and Jeff Wulbrun.

He's definitely small and that's going to be an issue against ACC teams. Offensively he loves to shoot and attacks the basket better than anyone else on the team. His problem is that he doesn't have great vision, so when he does attack the basket he's out of control at times which leads to bad shots. If he can develop some passing ability off those drives for guys like Emelogu and Eddie this team will be much better. I personally love it when players attack the basket, so I'm starting to like him a little more (during that USC Upstate game when he was jacking it up every time he got the ball I was afraid he was gonna be another Robert Brown).

If he's smart, Braxton will declare for the draft this year. Losing the OLine will expose him to injury and I doubt that tOSU is going to be high in the rankings next year anyway.
Jim Breuer Hardcore is one of my favorite acts of all time. He looks stoned for the entire performance (although he looks like that all the time) and infuses rock with comedy.
Program needs to be prepared to possibly lose both Kendall Fuller and Brandon Facyson as early entries to the draft after the 2015 season. ESPN insider article already lists Kendall as #22 on top 25 underclassmen and has Facyson as honorable mention.
Our D will get after them as their O line is suspect and will cause turnovers. Could be low scoring game. Not sure if UCLA has played an agressive D as good as the Hokies (Standford maybe, but they lost to Utah).
