French, you did a great job with this. I've grown to appreciate your posts more over the year. I too am a football junkie, but at times the jargon gets too wordy. This particular post was direct, easy to read and clearly showed us as readers what VT both needs to watch out for, and how to counter with success. My hope is that VT can use the big bruisers' aggression against him, and take advantage of his upfield movement. Quick 5-7 yard route 2 slants should be extremely effective. I predict Stanford will dominate this game coupled with a strong showing by possession receiver (Byrnes). The matchup of their DT against Wang and Caleb is a scary one for us, but nonetheless I am optimistic for Saturday. Let the dogs out Hokies.

Maybe Vin and two females: one from the soccer and the other from volleyball.

Dag nabbit Joe you beat me to the punch on making this thread, I was gonna wait until Tuesday night to make it but I was gonna name it OT: Non Traditional Thanksgiving Sides.

For the past couple years I have made Buffalo Chicken Dip with Tortilla chips for dipping and it tends to go fast so I always get 1st dibs. I will also be making Chex Muddy Buddy Mix, last year I made a batch and put it in the fridge the night before and then forgot to take it to Grandmas house the next day. I also bought a mixed nut tray thats a first timer so Im curious about how much will be consumed.

For the traditional sides its all about the stuffing, mashed potatoes, homemade mac&cheese all with gravy. A must have for me is the potato rolls. Ya take one of those potato rolls cut it open and put some of that buffalo chicken dip in it and just tear that $hit up!

And after all this cranberry sauce talk I think Im gonna have to try some this year I have not tried it since I was a kid and I did not like it back then just like I didn't like Homemade Mac&cheese back in the day but I love it now.

Replace the mayo with ranch and the texas pete with franks red hot and Im on board.

My mom makes turkey salad... Im getting hungry just thinking about it.

That's the same question I just asked myself. If commentators struggle pronouncing "Exum", I have no hope in them pronouncing "Sobczak".

I picked as well and went 3-3 this week. Slightly lowers my % but overall I won't complain.

I think Steve Fairchild said in a radio interview that UVA should never lose recruits to VT.

Shane responded that he was angry at those sentiments.

We may have ourselves a good ol' fashioned coaches brawl on Saturday, boys.

Would have been 3-star automatically if even little ol Kentucky had looked at him. Probably 4 stars if UGA or LSU had shown interest

Yet, in one of those highlights he is whipping the top-rated offensive line prospect in the state in his class. I will take it.

For those wondering why the kid was only rated a two star: he played his junior season way too heavy. On film, he looked like a typical big chubby guy that you use to tie guys up. This season, he lost a bunch of weight, improved his technique, and with Vince Mihota dealing with some injury issues, he has been the best defensive lineman on one of the best teams in the state. Again, I am not saying he will turn into Ted Washington here. But, he certainly fits the profile of the type of tackles that you can plug into Bud Foster's system and have them be effective.
