I've shown clips of VT football to people from all over the world. It really is quite unbelievable for everyone around the world that so many people attend amateur sporting events. In Australia professional rugby teams are lucky if they can attract 20,000. In South Korea and Japan baseball is big but stadiums are around 30 - 40,000 max. India loves cricket and gets a solid 15 - 30,000 in their new professional league. In China soccer and basketball are king and they pull in very small crowds.
There is nothing better than college football.

Yep, the 2007 matchup was pretty awesome. It was essentially a Coastal Division Championship game as VT was ranked #8 in the nation and UVA was #16. Here are the highlights:

Even that 12th guy for UVA's offense couldn't stop our defense from a pick-6 on this play! Such a UVA-type move. . .
I wasn't super comfortable about this game before I read this post...

Mark Packer and Gene Chizic is a pretty good combo too. I actually like everyone on that channel. I could go all day and not listen to Tim Brando though. I can almost hear the eliteism coming out of my speakers.

I actually like listening to Finebaum, despite the crazies. As an XM subscriber, I was a bit peeved that he was no longer on their platform (going onto espnradio.com is a bit cumbersome and doesn't give me options to surf while he is on commercial, which is often).
Say what you want about the callers, but aside from Bill King, there is no other solid national College Football voice out there...though I really like Chris Childers from SiriusXM College Sports. Dude deserves a better timeslot.
