for some reason only those two 17-14 games stick in my memory. I think its because I was watching the game thinking "God, we can't lose to UVA". Must just be the triptophan haze of Turkey day glossing over my thoughts on those other blowouts.
Guess I expect to win each game, so if its close, I pay more attention. Turkey leg for your thoughts.
Bob Dinklemeyer would be the best choice, but what the hell do I know.
My brothers and I partake in the Cul-de-sac bowl every year. Usually a 2-on-2 matchup that lasts about 15 min before somebody rolls an ankle or something...they're all a lot older than me and get worn out/bored pretty quickly.
more often than not we actually do pound them by 2 TDs:
2012: 17-14
2011: 38-0
2010: 37-7
2009: 42-13
2008: 17-14
2007: 33-21
2006: 17-0
2005: 52-14
2004: 24-10
...so 6 of 9 wins have been by 2 TDs or more, and a 7th win was by 12 points. so really, other than 2008 and 2012, we do beat em by 2 TDs. let's hope the trend continues. Go Hokies & Heels!
Don't forget D-Hop running it up the middle for a FAT GUY TOUCHDOWN
Completely agree, especially in regards to Brussels Sprouts. If they are steamed - which a lot of people do because it is easy [microwave] - the cabbage taste and aroma is VERY strong and unappetizing. However, if you properly roast/braise the sprouts, they lose that flavor and have a great, rustic flavor. Adding the bacon puts it over the top, because everything is better with bacon.
A shut out. A Sam Rogers touchdown. Fuller and Fayscon interceptions. 200 yards rushing, 200 yards receiving. 5+ sacks, and a Hoo Cop arrested for impersonating a coach. Yep, that'll do it.
This is like crossing the streams in Ghostbusters, it is nothing you should take lightly. Be warned.
I'll leave this one here

Yep. Pretty much. It's pretty much a win win situation unless UVA wins outright.
UVA's had a horrible season and its time to put the nail in Mike London's coffin. While I know he will probably be back next year, another 38-0 style win could make it a tough off season for him.
The majesty...
So you WANT another nooner?
Larry Fedora would drop to his knees and weep like a small child if he got Ebron back for another year, he is going to need all the help he can get. And that dude can play.
Look, regardless of where you stand....several hours after the meal, after you wake up, a turkey sandwich with mayo and Texas Pete will get the Fvchk after ya!
The fan in me wants to do fist-pumps and relax and prognosticate a VT victory, but other than 38-0 blowout, I don't think we've pounded them by 2 TD's very often, even when our offense was much better. I'd probably tease this up to 19 1/2 if there is another game that had a suspicious line, either that or take UVA plus the points. If UVA wins (the bet, not the game), you celebrate twice as much because VT won and you won cash. If VT blows them out, you won't care about your money (depending on the amount), because honestly who doesn't enjoy a UVA blowout at any price.
A little about me:
~200hrs PPL/IFR rated, mostly single engine pipers. I have some various other flights in Cessnas and multi aircraft. I learned how to fly in Blacksburg while in school then got my IFR rating in NC. I am a prior enlisted avionics technician 2004-2013 and was commissioned earlier this year. I just started primary flight training and will hopefully be drilling holes in the sky in just a short few weeks in the T-6B Texan II!
Haha, touche

The real "Horseonatreadmill" needs to respond to this thread, we need some explaination
Pretty sure he never has. He was a GA at Murray State under Frank and has been with him ever since.
They are getting in teeth. The bacon gets in the gaps.
If you don't have kids already, you'll find out.
Did Bud ever coach at the high school level? Or at a FCS team?

sounds logical to me.

Could D-Hop lead the way blocking for a Sam Rogers TD. Imagine the celebration in the endzone for that.
