Well, after complaining about them - I poked around the options and found this:

I actually think it's fair.
If FSU can make it, win the big one, that's a BIG +1 for the ACC.
The frustration is that when VT's losses are to Duke, BC, Maryland we are weak and down,
whereas for example, USCe's losses are to Tennessee, and Georgia, so they are a top 10 team.
Edit: Not saying who's better, more deserving, just highlighting the differences in perception.

I agree, I can't see Duke getting an invite to Chick-fil-a bowl. They would not be able to sell enough tickets..they can't even sell out their own stadium and it seats 33k. lol

VT detractors can mock the Hokies with their lopsided record against top 5 teams: shooting from the hip I want to say its like 1-25 or something along those lines. But you can't ad to the '1' without being on the field against a top 5 team.
Whats next for these type of fans hoping to not play FSU? Hoping VT doesn't qualify for a bowl game because Frank Beamer's bowl record?
All these people should be fans of soccer: often times NO team wins or loses, better chance of not feeling bad.

This. And we THRIVE on being the underdog. A lot of "ifs" would have to happen, but it's possible. Also, as good a Winston is, he's got a little Manziel going for him in that he tends to throw it up and his receivers are great and make the play. I'd love to see out secondary match up with those receivers to see what would happen.
What's worse is that you probably hear some of these at home too:

I hope our players are pumped, but I still don't understand the fans actually wanting to dodge FSU. I heard fans all around Lane saying "We lost to Maryland, good thing we won't have to step on the field with FSU". I can't understand it.

You can buy a separate controller. Hell, even an XBOX one and can have it going with your games with minimal configuration. Had a friend do that for his new PC until he got used to the mouse and keyboard and never looked back.
