Jim Weaver is single-handedly responsible for destroying our basketball program. We miss you Greenberg.

With less than a minute to go, VT down 64-63, Jarrell Eddie air-balls a floater from about 10 feet in front of the rim. Yikes.

Agree.
It validates my universe a little to see slow and steady, hard-nosed beat out the latest/greatest.

I'm trying hard NOT to be a Stanford fan, but they are making it tough on me.

Yesssss...

I remembered he said something about the poor and miserable, and when i looked it up, I think it sums up this upcoming VT basketball season pretty well.

"No society can surely be flourishing and happy, of which the far greater part of the members are poor and miserable."

I've got that feeling like we are going to show up big this game. Prediction Dadi gets 3 sacks again.

Would have been 2002; 2003 was my freshman year and there was only an Orange Effect that year. I believe 2002 was the first (maybe second?) year of the "Effect" games, and I think participation was fairly low at first. I'll have to ask my sister and brother-in-law if they have this one; they were in school from 1999-2003 and always participated in Orange and Maroon Effect.

Turkey leg for you for rocking a classic. Now let's just hope that this year's Miami game turns out better than the 2002 game...

Wow.
First time watching uva play for any length of time.
They are bad.
I'm thinking-'They pay London HOW much?????'
and 'How could a defensive football player with a spark of competition in his blood want to go there?'

Oh, and just as a refresher (since I was the one who needed it):

I'll be wearing my 2002 maroon effect sweatshirt. I'm just curious because I've seldom, if ever, seen anybody else with one; but anybody else have that one? It's the "No Tie Required" maroon effect for I believe was the UVA game (either 2002 or 2003).

Yeah, I like to see that. We could use a healthy Raines all season. He's another one of those #potential guys that could be special any given game.

Completely agree. I think Logan > Morris and we win a close one. I expect our D will will score one to help a struggling O today. DBU baby!

Haha no problem! Glad to see another guy from the the Show Me State reppin the Hokies. Welcome to the site!

Hey! I promise I'm not trying to steal your username! Haha, didn't realize there was a name so close to what I was creating. I'm obviously the new guy around these forums.

Whoa boy. 1:28 left in the half, Tennessee LB jumps a screen and takes it to the house. Six points.

Tennessee has been playing in some very enjoyable games to watch this year. Looks like the one today vs Auburn is going to be another good one.
