The "tipped" review was a make-up call for the fact that there shouldn't have been a flag in the first place. The ball was clearly uncatchable and I don't really think there was very much contact either.
Yup he was on the sideline stretching his back. He kept talking to Aaron with his helmet on, but never went back in.
or I could just ignore him manually.
I love how he can extend plays. Reminds me of our usual #1 guy.
Yesterday I would have been right in the middle of this thread. Today I realize he's a senior, and finally will be nowhere near wrecking us next year. He'll be the next Josh Freeman in the NFL and I'll smile that he's someone else's problem.
I'm sorry friend but you've clearly missed the point of what most of the people you have named here have been saying. I can only speak for myself but I never said any of what you are claiming that I did. I think you should read and try to understand what someone is saying before making generalizations that are in fact false.
I get the impression that Leal doesn't have a grasp on the offense.
Whereas Logan has proven that he doesn't have a solid grasp of the offense. Watch the read plays and plethora of missed open receivers in the game film if you don't believe me.
Finally, I don't think we should give up on a 6-3 season to gain experience for next season. We still have a shot at winning the ACC Coastal.
I agree, the season is not over. If we are mathematically eliminated at some point though, then we need to start preparing for next year. Next season is probably going to be rough and we just have to hope that our coaches can somehow turn things around. They would be put in a better position to succeed for next year by starting to evaluate whatever they can this year in real game situations.
This Defense gets a pass. Yes, we gave up that long TD late, but Williams is beast of an RB and has some speed, too. I feel as BC should be credited at most 17 points in this game. Just look at the box score!
Hokies!
Fuck yes! Let's go!!
remember when we blocked that punt against clemson? the refs were like 'nuh uh' but it changed direction after our guy tipped it. it was clear. this made me think of that play.
Someone tell Logan that it is okay to punt or to throw the ball away...or even just take the sack! Agree that he feels to much pressure to make hero plays but as long as you don't turn the ball over, this works in our favor to win.
yes they do.
next subject.
Good quality receiver and his big plays gave us a chance
I feel much better reading this. Thanks, bro. I think we have some bigger running backs coming in, too.
Ahhh, the voice of reason and hope. Thanks for being our Harvey Dent, Shoog.
"Clemson might as well hold up a sign that says screen pass"
Mike Patrick IIRC, after Jacoby Ford gets blown up yet again during the blueberry uniform game

Nicely done, Shoog. I'm a bit worried about the defensive depth, especially at LB, but I hope getting RVD back helps.
So we now know why the refs changed the call. They were making up for the pass interference. The tip had nothing to do with it. They were just looking for an excuse to change the call. Pathetic.
I still don't hang this on the Defense:
Pick brought back to the 15: D gave up 7 yards and a FG
Pick 6: Self-explanatory
Fumble at our 18: TD
That's what, half of the points we gave up on the day? The defense let up 25 yards in the points above and BC got 17 points. Other than that, BC had the one long rushing TD on the play where we sold out to stop the run and got beat. The defense could have played a little better, but not by a whole lot.
Perhaps we should reset. Here, this should help...

If I have to, I'll post this on every negative thread we have about "burning the place down/swapping out established starters/our team sucks". And I will do it gaddammit! We -the collective, are better than this, and I would hope that this place is a forum for better conversation and less on the negativity (between our posting brethren and/or the team and players we seem to be on this site for) to maintain the level of quality this site has been known for.
In Bud's name we pray, amen.
Oh my god it wasn't even close. Why didn't we see that camera angle? Brilliant find, jmock
On a side note, we're a preeminent engineering school. I think we should have the most advanced set of permanent in-stadium cameras on the planet to catch every angle of every play all the time. We are Virginia Tech, we can do that!
No, scratch that, we should do that.

things get a little silly around here after a loss, i'm glad someone shares my simultaneous dissapointment and optimism.
hope springs eternal in the hearts of men, right?
