Ok. I know I was the one that said there was a little too much bashing of other teams during the bye week, but this is gold! Well done. I almost pissed myself laughing.

Semi Mexican Fast food power rankings.
1. Qdoba
That is all.

In St. Louis, there is a Qdoba in one of the more ghetto regions of the city and it is referred to by many as the "dirty doba." It is without a doubt better than any other Semi fast food mexican restaurant I'v ever been to. So greasy, and so delicious.

The best of it is I feel like this could be the year to really start deflating that SEC balloon. The SEC East is for all intents becoming a bit of a dumpster fire. You could conceivably have USCe, UGA, and the Gators all with 4 losses. If USC loses to Mizzou, then either they or FL will definitely have at least 4, and there is no way I see the Gators beating FSU right now. And even with last Saturday night, I think Clemson is better than the Gamecocks

Looking at the West, Bama/LSU, Bama/Auburn, LSU/aTm still needs to happen, so assuming Bama wins out you end up with another 2-3 3 loss teams on that side.

Of course the SECers will be quick to chatter is Bama wins another national title, but I think this year is a lot more interesting if we get to see Oregon or (gag) FSU in that game. Certainly better than them bullying a hapless ND or Ohio St. squad

It's going to take a long time to be able to recruit nationally like Bama, ND, Michigan, and, um... that's about it. There aren't many schools that have the resources to recruit everywhere and the ability to visit anyone in the country and get their attention.

Sure, though a) UVA has talent on the roster and b) the ACC isn't exactly murderer's row. My point was that Rutgers was a bigger joke than UVA is now then when Schiano took over and he was able to make steady progress and break through. Prior to 2005 Rutgers hadn't been to a bowl since 1978. It shouldn't take a coach a decade to get somewhere with a program.

A few additional statistics: ESPN calculates average yards per return. They show 162 yards on 29 returns for a 5.6 yards allowed per return. In my opinion it is also interesting to calculate return yards allowed per punt. I count 208 allowed yards (not sure what the discrepancy is???) on 43 punts, yielding 4.8 return yards allowed per punt. Removing the 72 yard TD return by BAMA, and it is just 3.2. This indicates that overall special teams is doing great, because they are not allowing many returns for positive yardage. But when they do, they allow some pretty big returns. They've allowed (by my count) 219 yards on 14 positive returns, which yields a whopping 15.6 yards per positive return. Removing BAMA TD, still 11.3 yards. That's a first down!!

Luckily it hasn't hurt us aside from the BAMA game. The one exception in my mind, since we almost lost the game, was Hughes first punt against Marshall (40 yards, 19 yard return, put them at midfield), which gave them great field position and led to their first TD.

I thought the same thing but then I couldn't figure out if they really meant defiance so I kept quiet.

Ronald just had to photobomb me here. What you don't see is how he had to ask pig to take the picture because his hooves couldn't find the clicker.

...son of a bitch told me he wouldn't post this...

I know, right? I can see his players reading this in the paper...

"WHAT???! HE'S BEEN HOLDING OUT ON US??!?"

Wild Mustang offense. As long as they make more forward progress than I do.

Actually, I root for one or the other every year. It switches. But only in years where Hokietown isn't producing a tournament team. Recently it's been more Duke, but a few years back it was all Carolina.

I played on a bad club soccer team for a while. There wasn't a space in the league when we first formed, but there was a spot in an age group above us. So we went up an age group for a year. We were getting waxed every game by double digits (remember, this is soccer), but it was ok. Almost all of the teams we played exhibited a high level of sportsmanship (almost...one team was a bunch of d0uche$). Everyone understood. We didn't take it personal.

The Auburn UVA match up would be good because the founder of the Auburn football program was a UVA alum and that is why they are the same colors. So it would be like "Son beats up Father bowl" or something like that. haha

Just to bring this back up again, because why not:

From SI.com's College Football Mailbag by Stewart Mandel

Does getting waxed at home by the No. 5 team in the nation constitute "pulling a Clemson?" Or is "getting Clemsoned" characterized by losing to a significant underdog? I need some clarity on the definition here.
-- Dave, Washington, D.C.
I wanted an authoritative ruling, so I contacted The Solid Verbal co-hosts Dan Rubenstein and Ty Hildenbrandt, who got the word "Clemsoning" added to Urban Dictionary in 2011. This particular result was so vexing that even Rubenstein and Hildenbrandt initially disagreed. "Absolutely not a Clemsoning since the game was against Florida State," said Hildenbrandt. Countered Rubenstein: "At the root of Clemsoning is there being a huge letdown after expectations are risen, typically against a lesser opponent. The fact that the game's outcome was so unexpectedly lopsided, especially at home, almost plays into the spirit of Clemsoning." Ultimately, they decided it was a "half-Clemsoning."

And the definition from Urban Dictionary, for reference

EDIT: I posted this before reading the entire mailbag. A few questions later:

Good to see that Clemson is still Clemson.
-- Rob Sansing, Parsippany N.J.
Incorrect. Clemson will still be Clemson if it proceeds to lose three of its final five games.

I was going to comment on this line as well, but your points are better than those I was going to make. Ah, what the hell:

Ladies, pay no attention to the man in front of the green screen. Short skirts are good. And it gives us a chance to be chivalrous. Here, take my pants, please, you look very cold.

Actually, back in those days it was Johnny Cougar before he knew his yet to be born son would go to the NC school for Methodists and Quakers. At that point he decided to become more refined and go with John Cougar and ultimately decided he really needed to use three names if wanted to get HUD (who goes by his full name Housing (and) Urban Development Mellencamp) and thus John Cougar Mellencamp was born. Though why he didnt go all the way for Jonathon I'll never understand.

That happened a bunch last season. I think that some runs late in the game with leads are straight give calls, but rather than being a pooch screw last year, this year I think it has been designed to save Logan wear and tear. Still, if they are going to call straight runs, don't leave an unblocked man.

Per NCAA rules, recruits are allowed to have six meals, plus snacks, during the 48-hour period they're on campus and the meals must be comparable to those provided to student-athletes during the academic year.

I would say they have an array of selections considering the football team gets food catered from just about everywhere when the dining halls are closed. The nutritionist does a good job of keeping the players well fed, so I'd imagine it's the same for recruits.
