Here's a question: do they take down that score pedestal in the middle for the game? Or do they place the field off-center of it, towards one of the curves?
I know for the longest time, many have thought that pedestal would prohibit the use of this venue for the game we've all dreamed about.

I live right next door to the Virginian basically. Goodness, we complain about the exit 7 traffic now, can you imagine the traffic that weekend? With the stores finally opening a football game at BMS...
Coach Beamer was the Grand Marshall at Bristol a few years back and played in a charity golf tournament at the Virginian Golf course in Bristol this year, along with Steve Johnson, former Hokie and Cowboy player. Johnson is developing the Bass Pro shop complex in Bristol, Tn and Bristol, Va is developing a Cabella's shopping complex five miles away. Cities work well together, but competing big time with these shopping centers to be finished in 2014. This game will be like the Civil War revisited for Bristol!

Day before Gameday I'll wear a VT polo into work (or Thursday if it's a Thursday Night), and on Gameday I'll wear some sort of VT shirt under my #5 jersey circa 08/09
dude i am the exact same way. i get so nervous booze really takes the edge off. its funny cause i get pre-game stress worse when i'm watching the game on tv. when i'm at the game i'm much more relaxed and just having a good time. . . now that i think about it thats probably because i drink more at the tailgate. hmm.

They always try to get people to volunteer at the racetrack for the races and different things they have there... I can tell you right now, not a single person from Bristol will want to volunteer (no pun intended).
