I really want a B1 flyover for this game.
We really need to make initiative to fill that stadium at least half full of Hokies! So many Tennessee fans are saying that it will be all them filling it. I want to prove them wrong. Everyone needs to travel to this game if they're capable of it.
His first game was against BC when VT held them to SIX yards in the first half. He was so mad that BC got a first down on the last play of the half to get them out of the negative!!

One of my really good friends was from Bristol. If a kid didn't get into UT they went to ETSU (which apparently happens a lot). The few smart ones make their way up 81N to Blacksburg (or become Hokie fans).
Crowd estimated to be 160,000!? That's almost 160,000 more than the number of people at a UVA spring game!

"Chachi" was my US Naval Aviator call sign, just like "Maverick", "Goose", and "Ice-Man", only not as cool. Yeah, that stuff is a for-real part of the culture, not made-up just for the movie. I have embraced my call-sign b/c, as one of my fellow pilots said, it's a lot better than "Stinky." His last name was "Gross" so he was forever labeled: "Stinky-Gross".
BTW, I married my VT sweetheart, Mary(class of 87), so in this case, "Chachi loves Mary", and still does 26 years and 5 kids later.

Beer before halftime, switch to bourbon at the half or if we get down early. Mrs Salty has a sweatshirt she is not allowed to wear. She got it right before the ACCCG in 2005. Then wore it several other games in which we lost. She wore it the last game we played in the NCAA tournament. She wore it on 4/16. She was wearing it the day she got ran into and her car got totalled. This shirt is no longer in the house. Its buried in the yard. Literally.

I want to hate Pitt, especially after their latest win over us, but I'm not quite there yet. In some ways they kinda remind me of Tech in that they're traditionally based on smash mouth football. That said, if they beat us again they're jumping a few places on the hate scale.

I read a few years back that they were offering each team $1,000,000 so I was just wondering what number would make it worth it for both teams and when it would get done. Makes since to me.
