the first time i saw the "fuck your couch n---" bit i was literally in tears with laughter.
There have been offenses at tech that were a lot easier to design a game plan against, even if they were more productive then this one. If I have a team full of future nfl stars, no matter how simple my offensive scheme is I'll move the ball
Offensive scheme and offensive execution aren't the same thing. Loeffler and grimes can't go block and catch for their players
I could not disagree more, as I will discuss in my film review tomorrow. Mason has nailed this.
If only they could play eachother to see who flubs more for our enjoyment
Agreed. I dislike the term Chokies as well, and you definitely shouldn't get downvoted for expressing your opinion. Unfortunately until we win more big games that particular nickname is gonna be with us. +1 for balance though.
We need a healthy Jarrett on defense, I think we should give Mangus a serious look at punt returns
I'd like to see the running game but if teams are going to put 7-8 guys in the box every play, I have no problem throwing it. We are doing great things in the air lately and LT's confidence has to be skyrocketing. We need him to be able to make plays if we are going to win. If he is confident now, when teams stop loading the box and the running game comes in, we will be very effective on offense. If we need to throw to win, let LT throw.
Both of Charlie Murphy's "True Hollywood Stories" were gut-burstingly funny

And don't look for Gameday in Miami on Nov 9. The L$U goes to Bammer that day...
I would say at this point in time, it should be penciled in. Already listed as the 8pm ABC game, so gameday there fits their typical MO.
Upvote for HOAT
Possibly the greatest episode of Chappelle's show.
The easy counterpoint is that it was a different era. People want results and they want them now! I'd be fine with giving TimeCop a couple more seasons though. Just more wasted Virginia talent though.
I have to say this UVA fan actually makes a good point on this comment:
"By all means, if Beamer is available we should hire him immediately. He's a great coach. Mike is a great guy. Big difference."
It just occurred to me that I'm curious what their first and second down numbers look like. I can see, though, that this is a result of TimeCop's coaching at practice:
TimeCop: "Alright guys, it's third down and we need a stop"
Player: "But coach, we didn't practice first or second down"
TimeCop: "No time for that, son, we'll need to be good at third downs this year"

If we were to win out and lose the ACCCG to an undefeated FSU/Clemson, with our only other loss to an undefeated SEC Champ Alabama, we wouldn't be out of Orange Bowl consideration. Depending on what the loser of the FSU/Clem matchup had
Awesome article again. It's clear from that video how important having great athletes is as well. I had forgotten how fast Harvin was. Watching him in those two plays -one by the time he got past the line of scrimmage he was up to top speed and gone. No offense to anyone we have, but those are 7 yard gains with our personnel.
Simple: We need RVD double blocks and he isn't available this year.
On the serious side though, it is a "you have it or you don't position." I think Jarrett has it, just has been banged up and special teams as a whole starts with blocking and it just hasn't really been there this year.
Well Bud Foster is on our side, so it's a nightmare for everyone else.
I remember Loeffler saying that the game-tying TD to the Paper Boy was supposed to be a walk-in. He didn't run his route flat enough on the TD vs Marshall which is probably why it almost got picked. I'm sure that they went over that in practice and Coles got the route right.
It's amazing to see what happens when the players buy into the system -- I think Loeffler's found a home here.
No, I'm well versed in that thread, I just wanted to post that stat. 0-15 is pretty freaking ridiculous.

So are we failing to execute because we have too many schemes?
This seems to be the connection between the "It's really hard to gameplan against such a multiple scheme" and "It's not hard to stop this offense because they aren't executing consistently."
