I wonder if we keep Kyle at Whip now?
I don't think he was in favor of starting Foles. Kelly announced from the get-go that it was an open competition at QB, and Vick was named the starter in the middle of preseason.
Gray said Antone Exum is a cornerback and will remain so. "When he's full-go, he's going to play cornerback." #Hokies— Andy Bitter (@AndyBitterVT) September 30, 2013
These videos are the most UVA thing ever, I love them. They are not very sportsmanlike in my opinion. The home team should at least be respectful of the visiting team, and use the crowd as the intimidation factor (sound familiar?) Especially against VMI, where there really is no possibility of losing. It's just trashy and classless, and ironic that it comes from a school who thinks its classier than everyone else.
Also, the best thing that has ever been displayed on that scoreboard is the image in my profile picture.
No joke. That season ends completely differently with him still around
So what happens in the defensive backfield now?
My concern is, will he be 100%? While many players can return 9-10 months after injury, for many it takes 12-16 months to be back to 100%. Adrian Peterson did it, RG3 tried and is coming back slowly...
I went ahead and gave one to you to get you closer to 100. :)
So what you're saying is you'd rather have Weaver control the kick-off times and lose lots of money ($20 million next year) and not be televised? If so, cool. That's your opinion but I think everyone here is trying to help you understand that it's not a smart move unless you're ND.
As an Eagles fan (probably the nicest one you'll ever meet) and Hokie fan, I was probably the only combination of the two happy when they signed him a few years back. 2010 for me was an unexpected renaissance of his career and he is the reason I became a football fan, but even I have to admit he appears to be on a steady decline since then. He's put up good numbers and cut down on the turnovers so far this year but his receivers haven't been helping him out much, especially in key situations. It's so frustrating to me knowing his past that he likely won't get a ring as a player.
Haha I just saw that on refresh. You can accuse us of many things but not being enthusiastic and not loving our team aren't among them.
Gray on Exum's return: "He has to be eased in naturally, so there will be some transition." Will meet as staff to discuss it. #Hokies— Andy Bitter (@AndyBitterVT) September 30, 2013
Thanks to Andy Bitter for his coverage of Tech Talk Live this evening.
Exum's return comes at a critical time. UNC runs the speed-up high volume of play no huddle. They also have a much more variable offense than the other spread teams the Hokies have played to date, and all their top wide receivers are big players. A healthy 100 percent Exum helps match up with them, as long as he is ready to play at a high level.
I think one key thing has been overlooked. VT assembled blue collar teams that fought for every second of every game and they went in with a toughness that many teams could only dream of. Because of this determination, they never ceased to get better as the year went on--they never lost to the same team twice (07 BC). In the past years this toughness has dwindled, whether it be coaching, recruiting, or players...it happened and was palpable. This year, the tenacity, toughness, determination and fight has restored. Every game we get better, every game we fight harder. Barring a setback, this team gets better and better but the 2 games I am most worried about are Miami and Pitt...maybe maryland depending on how they do.
Beat me to it, great news!
Literally 3 of us have started these threads within 20 seconds of each other
EDIT: 4 and counting
I get this is satirical and you're jabbing at UVA, but why on earth would an ACC analyst not cover the entire ACC. Consider me unimpressed by the suggestion that an ACC blogger shouldn't report on UVA and their head coach Mike London.
Sh*t French beat me by 7 seconds
or someone going after a woman online verbally abusing or slandering this woman
Truth be told, there is a LOT of this out there. Sometimes I think it borders on bullying.
Oh, Bingo.
Turkey leg for the brevity in loquaciousness and perfect pic selection.
We can blame the AD all we want for "signing away the rights for the times" but I'm not going to blame him for making a smart financial decision.
Non-sequitor.
Are you the Darren Rovell of contracts now?
ad hominem
I don't care if it's financially smart or not, they did it.
They are to blame for signing that away, they traded it for money. Between the crappy start times and the lack of a marquee opponent at home, they are losing ticket sales and season ticket sales are way down.
You pretend as if they had as much power as the guy selling popcorn in the stands. Am I to blame the popcorn guy or the AD for the schedule?
If Miami played here at home, like they were scheduled, you think the game would be at 12:00? It would be a t 3:00. Did VT have a say in the ACC expansion and then the schedule changes?
So we'll be playing Nevernude Analrapists all October?

Edit:
For anyone who doesn't get the references:
I think what he's trying to say is

Yeah, I mean, I appreciate the thought/effort and the fact that I got to read it, but a simple "he enjoyed it, here's a link" would have sufficed.
This was precisely what I was thinking of.

Great news travels fast!
