We'll have to see if he goes elsewhere. If he does, he broke a major rule and was given the option to leave of his own accord. If he doesn't, it's something personal.

Yeah Bonner didn't look great, but take in to account the competition. You play the run first which opens up the pass for them. I wont judge his coverage on this game.
GTs passing execution is so bad it creates those penalties. Both of those calls on Bonner were due to truly AWFUL passes from Lee. The ball in the end zone was a full second late. Not much you can do on the second one,it was under thrown by 10 yards.
By the way, every year we hear how improved the GT passing attack is and they annually play like this. So remarkably ineffective. I wouldn't be surprised to see GT cut ties with PJ this year, they aren't improving. it has to be frustrating to be a GT fan.
Georgia Tech's offensive strategy relies so heavily on the option, they can't throw the ball. They're awful in pass protection. I swear, everytime Lee dropped back we had 2-3 guys on his butt. They cut/chop/whatever block and it just doesn't work outside of the option.
They're too blind to see that though. CPJ has to totally commit to the option or keep getting this half and half thing that bit him tonight.

Alabama just cancelled a series with Michigan State in 2016/2017. I know it's not likely because if Alabama backed out they probably have somebody better in mind lined up already, but we have that 16/17 opening still hanging around, and man would I love to see a home-and-home and have Alabama come into Lane at night...

The pass interference call in the end zone he could have under cut for a pick but at the same time he gives up leverage on his backside for an easy td so he attempts the pass break up.
The long completion was a result of never seeing the ball or qb and a lucky pass from lee that floated back inside with no help. While he didn't play great I think he played within buds gameplan

They've been picking on Bonner all season so far.
He's not good in straight up man, and doesn't get much of a jamb at the line. The secondary can cover for him against a team like GT, but spread teams will run people deep and get him overmatched in the slot, or run shallow routes and expose him in single coverage deep (several examples against Marshall.)
Exum is great in man press, something Bud has been asking Bonner to do with bad results.
