Yea I don't know how there is a "break in period" for helmets. I'm no materials engineer but I can't imagine that plastic gets STRONGER as it's rammed repeatedly into 200+ bodies at ridiculous speeds.

I just thought he had -1 interceptions to go. So I was figuring we'd just get the ball back randomly at some point this season without the other team even touching the ball. Seems fair to me at least.
This is what makes "upset watch" completely stupid. If she picks GT to win and they do, she was right. If she picks GT to win and the Hokies win, then she can still say, "well I did have them on upset watch," so she still thinks she's right. Totally pointless.

The motion is usually just to allow Logan to make a pre snap site adjustment and determine if they are running man coverage. I am not a huge fan of a ton of motion (I think that the Hokies have gotten away with several motion penalties on the veer) but it does create some confusion.
The former OL in me hates it, just because it is harder to fire off in your stance when you have been down for 20 seconds.

I think it more depends on the play. In passing situations its used to create mismatches with putting linebackers in coverage. Think Mangus or JC moving into the slot. Theyre are going to be a lot quicker than most linebackers. I think that's the gist of all the motion for passing plays. Running plays it can move defenders from the box because they must respect the passing play.
Well, giraffe girl picked GT to get upset I believe and you have to admit, she is right almost 10% of the time. I figure since the last 90% of her picks have been wrong, it puts the odds in our favor.

The one thing I find amusing is how much time they are spending discussing our potential record. They are looking at our match ups and discussing our recruiting and rivalries. They desperately want to make the case that we are on the way down. They are shrill and almost hysterical about it. Sounds a bit like a bitter, fat, obsessed girl who did not make the cheerleading squad to me.
I think flip the @GT Win and @Miami Loss and I agree with reasonable ceiling
Why do we lose to Miami in our reasonable ceiling? For goodness sake, they beat one extremely overrated Florida team and everyone thinks they are "back."

This. Edmunds up the middle doesn't seem to be working initially, especially when Marshall puts 8 in between the tackles; but it opens up Thomas on the veer outside, which then opens up Edmunds up the middle. This is logical play calling, and I like it.

I don't understand the first thing about this thread. They are already 3-1 and played Bama decently. They ALWAYS look like garbage against lowly OOC conference competition, and they ALWAYS crank it up for ACC time. They have a 5th SR at QB, a stout defense, and they're going 0-fer in the conference?
They will get a MINIMUM of 4 conference games. Giving them a floor of 7 wins. If they are good enough to beat us, they are good enough to beat anyone else remaining and I'd move them up to 9 wins.
There were rumors when they got Holgersen, but I don't even think he interviewed for it. If he's leaving, it's for a Texas-caliber job.
