I think one punch/slap etc. should be a personal foul and no more, I don't think that you should be ejecting players unless they're striking repeatedly or come running from halfway across the field after the play to take a shot at someone.

I know I'm jumping ahead here...but, in your astute opinion, can these Hokies sustain drives long enough to defeat the bad guys from Atlanta next week? It seems that the formula to win against CPJ is get up by 10 pts, and then keep them off the field.
Too many 3 and outs against Non-ACC competition has me concerned. I worry that GT will get a TD lead and nurse the hell out of it. Nobody can hold on to a lead like CPJ.
Call me stubborn, but the offense left me rather underwhelmed. There were times Marshall DL seem to blow up the offensive line and stop the running game cold. When Logan needed to pass, he seem to stare down his intended receiver and fire off a pass. Same old issue, I guess.
I do realize that Marshall's DL was coached by a former Hokie's defensive lineman who was coached by Foster, I believe, so it does make sense that the DL would be making Thomas mighty uncomfortable. Yet, I hesitate to say that the offense will start clicking on Thursday against Roof's defense, which seem to be more than happy to blitz, mainly because of the trouble the offense had moving the football at will against ECU and Marshall.
I do realize that ECU's and Marshall's defenses don't get enough credit except here on the site, but I think that the game against Georgia Tech is going to be a war. Whenever those two teams play, it's like a slugfest to see who fold first, and then whoever folds, lose.

PTI guys tore up our Helmets. I can't say that I blame them but I'm not sure why they're talking about VT helmets (I'm sure there are PLENTY of other things to discuss) but I guess they had to go ahead and get their obligatory jab at the Hokies in while they could.
The helmets are hideous but I wasn't going to let them bother me since the players seem excited about them. However, it does bother me that they're the subject of ridicule at the expense of VT...I'm sure the Thursday night crew will have snarky things to say as well.
I'm not a fan of Jesse "Skinny Tie" Palmer or David "I hate OLs" Pollack.

I guess what I mean is that we've seen some twists that will show up in one game and not often or even at all in the others. The triple option is one of them and the bootleg is another.

I just looked through the Hokie Sports roster pages to see if they had maybe pulled another one of our players pictures and put it up instead of Kendal. I think it might be Joshua Stanford, at least he's the person on the roster that looks the most like the Fake Kendal. I also learned a couple other things. First Jack Tyler and Chase Williams could easily pass for brothers, possibly even twins. The other is that Brent Benedict must have an "S" under his pads, during summer workouts he posted a 40050-pound front squat

ECU is on schedule to join the AAC next year, so the ACC can't be too far behind. Marshall just jumped to C-USA not too long ago.
Sometimes I wish that Marshall and ECU could join the acc just to prove that they aren't easy pickings.
The argument in the lawsuits isn't the plastic, hence the VSR4's still exist in the NFL, it is the idea that the padding molds to your head for a more secure helmet. Either way, this is crap, and the NFL should just ban all outdated helmets and be done with the discussion.
Except the game is to pick against the spread... because otherwise, why would games like Vols-Ducks be on there? Everyone knows Oregon's going to blow them out... it's just a matter of how much by :P
