I'm just nervous that if we leave those gunners unmarked, or have two on one on the outside, something bad could happen if we sell out for the block. Hopefully if we cover the gunners, we'll focus on setting up Kyshoen for a return.

You're definitely right. And if we win on Thursday then all of a sudden ESPN will be talking about how great we are. We're in a world where the only thing that matters is what happened last week (which is stupid, but it is what it is). Just keep winning. We win these next 3 and we're probably a top 20 team.
As stated above numerous times, we just gotta keep winning. We keep winning and we find ourselves winning the coastal (but not getting rings, yeah you UNC). Then we find ourselves winning against Clemson or F$U (SHit, maybe UMD) in the ACCCG, and then we win a BCS bowl game, and then we find ourselves ranked in the top 15 next year and everybody saying "I wish we were underdogs" I give a rats ass what any sporting news show says about us. I listen to the college sports shows daily on Sirius and it doesn't even bother me that no one is talking about us, or trashing our offense. Why? Because we're 3-1, our D is nasty, and we just won two games in a row we would've lost last year. If you want your football team to gain national respect that went 7-6 last year and is squeking past teams that people think you should blow out then go find a team in the SEC to cheer for. We haven't done a damn thing to earn respect yet and I'm glad we're just back here lurking in the shadows and taking care of business! Let's win some conference games first before we get full of ourselves.
Spot on as always. Question for French - any idea why Marshall didn't seem to try the stutter/double move on the deep ball earlier in the game? It was obvious from the start that the corners were jumping the out routes. Was the safety help over the top enough to deter it?
What I dont understand is how come we arent running more out of the I-Formation, even Single Back look? We are running an incredible amount out of the shotgun and pistol formations....
I understand what he is doing with all the veer options, traps, etc, but when you are in a 3rd or 4th and <1 yard to go, WHY are we back in shotgun? Thats what has upset me the most about the offense this year.

Losing season in 2010, new OC for 2011, and we know the rest of that story......
On a couple of occasions this year we have brought the returner up for help on the gunners and added a guy to the line. If they're kicking it from around the 50 I fully expect to see that again. Adding one guy to the line can help getting a lot more pressure. And this was their lineup on the punt from the 45 I saw. And we only have 10 up there, bring up the returner and we have a lot more pressure. Especially considering that the best thing that will happen on a punt from there is a touchback anyway.
"Brain buckets" is really old school.. We still throw that around in the Army.
Was anybody else having flashbacks(nightmares) to the game that shall not be mentioned with danny coale's fake punt when AJ took off?
