I was expecting last week that loeffler would open up the play book and destroy ECU. Turned out that didnt happen, but I could easily see this being a confidence builder game leading into ACC play for our offense. I am NOT sold on the Marshall defense-hype. I think with some misdirection, we will slow down their DTs and LBs and make them totally ineffective. I also see no problem in opening up the playbook, seeing as it's a short week for the bees to prepare for us. Maybe show a whole bunch of looks a la Buds first three games just to F with "chop block" Johnson?
You're missing the part where, 10 years ago, the state government pressured UVA to oppose any ACC expansion that didn't include us. Richmond wouldn't be too happy if we bolted for greener pastures while leaving UVA in the dying ACC.
Unless of course UVA goes through with their idea to "break ties" with the state, in which case I have no idea what'll happen.
