Passing team always has the advantage over the D on a wet field if the QB can grip the ball properly.

It doesn't help that their DL coach was one of the best Hokie defensive linemen of the Bud Foster era (JC Price.) He understands the basics of the attack look as well as anyone.

True story: in the FCS playoffs a couple of years back, ODU hosted Norfolk State.

NSU fans were reportedly complaining about all the noise that the ODU fans were making.

Having attended several HBCU games in my day, I found that ironic.

I'll be honest - I've been afraid of every non-conference opponent since that game in 2010. I was worried about App State in 2011 and I got really nervous at the start of the Peay game last year. This is a sport where anything can happen to anyone, including our beloved Hokies. The same very reason I hate playing opponents like this is the same reason I love college football.

It's a Microsoft thing. HTML assumes that the apostrophes are true ASCII characters but the character set from MS Word uses a non-standard "prettier" character. The same thing happens with quotation marks and probably some other punctuation. You might save yourself some time if you use a plain-text editor like Notepad, TextEdit, etc.

It happens when I transfer what I wrote from word over to the site. I'm not quite sure why.

Boom! They just became Super Bowl contenders!!!

Vegas just change their odds from 50-1 to -150,000-1. Doesn't get more automatic than that.

Does your computer not do apostrophes or something?

I made the same point during ECU (in our discussion board). It seems like he is waiting for the blocks to develop...much like a RB in zone blocking. If that's the plan, use RBs. If not, Knowles should use his speed and run straight ahead toward one person who is engaged in a block, trust them, and blast as far as he can. Seems like he could get a lot more yards.

I'd say a good portion of the engineers have this problem. And those that don't aren't really all that big of football fans anyway.

I have a smartphone capable of texting, but have chosen to save $10/month and forgo it. But maybe that's not quite so bad.

You need not be afraid.

Our defense will outscore both offenses that take the field combined tomorrow.

Shortish-time reader (3 weeks?), first time 6-picker:

GT wins by at least a TD
UF wins but will barely score 17, so UT covers
ND wins by 21+. #1 defense my ass, our D could have an average of 150 ypga or less if we had MSU's schedule
ASU covers, Stanford wins
LSU covers by a mile
Utah covers - Dunno who wins, but BYU doesn't win by more than 7 regardless
